Our lovely home is an beautiful home on Rotonda in established landscaped gardens. We bought our 2nd Rotonda home because we had sold our first home and realised how much we would miss it. We had always wanted a home on water, so Kestrel Meadows became ours!

We fell for Kestrel Meadows because it is light and airy and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. The landscaping is mature and offers great privacy. Inside the house, the formal living area opens directly onto the lanai as does the family room. We love having the two seperate living areas. The dining room is at the front of the house and the very well equipped kitchen and breakfast nook are in the centre of the house.

The master bedroom is huge, also opening onto the lanai and the ensuite bathroom is fantastic! Bedrooms 2 and 3 are a good size for guests. There is also a double garage.

GOLF GALORE!: This is an area referred to as 'Golf's Best Kept Secret' and the home of 5 golf courses on Rotonda alone.

A FISHY TALE!: Everyone hears tales of the great fishing to be had and it's true! You can fish from the waterway behind the house on a catch and release basis. You can fish from piers and from the seashore. You can take a boat trip to go deep sea fishing, or hire a smaller boat to go backwater fishing for Redfish, Snook, Spotted Trout, Ladyfish and others. From mid-April to mid-July, Charlotte Harbor is home to the mighty Tarpon who come here in their thousands. Enjoy a memorable day fishing for this magnificent game fish. Our home is set on Rotonda which is a fabulous residential area for the local community. We have great beaches to the south of us on Gasparilla Island, also known as Boca Grande and to the west along Manasota Key. You are spoilt for choice with so many beaches to choose from. Shopping is a must for many guests. We have excellent value local stores, the Mall in Port Charlotte which is just 20 minutes away with a JC Penney's, Macey's, Bealls and Sears. They also have a good cinema complex there. You also have shops down in Fisherman's Village which is a pier in Punta Gorda where you have cheap and cheerful shops alongside very upmarket ones. When you have finished shopping ,enjoy a drink or a meal at one of the restaurants, including Harpoon Harry's at the end of the pier where you can sit looking out over Charlotte Harbor. For a more upmarket experience, visit Armands Circle in Sarasota. A day you will never forget. We have two discount Malls within easy reach if you run out of ideas locally!

There are plenty of good restaurants and you can eat out very inexpensively here. We keep a guide in our home which is up to date with plenty of ideas of where to find good food at very reasonable prices.

If you like golf, enjoy fishing or hiring a boat for a day, this is the perfect holiday spot! The warm gulf waters are dotted with little islands and it is called in intercoastal waterway. You can hire a boat locally, with or without a captain to give you a very person view of the water side of Florida. You may see Manatee, Dolphins, Bald Eagles, Osprey and inevitably the brown pelican. You can also see the beautiful white pelicans at certain times of the year.

We have many local parks where you can enjoy bird watching or just walking or cycling through the trails. A day at Babcock Ranch is great value for money where you can learn about the different flora and fauna found in this part of Florida and enjoy their own version of a swamp buggy ride!

If your idea of a perfect holiday is to lie by the pool and soak up the warm sun, our peaceful home is ideal and awaits you!

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (British Pound) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • •Cancellations -
    Provided the owner receives written notice of cancellation not less than eight weeks before the holiday commencement date, the hirer will not be required to pay the full balance. The deposit amount, however, will be forfeit. All cancellations must be notified in writing at the earliest opportunity.

    In the event of you have to cancel your booking the following charges will apply:

    More than 8 weeks prior to arrival - Deposit only
    Between 6 - 8 weeks prior to arrival - 50% of rental
    Less than 6 weeks prior to arrival - 100% of rental
  • Local tourist tax is included in the rates quoted.
    All bookings are subject to the £95.00 single fee towards the cost of prep and final standard clean. BBQ usage is free and includes one free tank of gas. Electric pool heat costs £10.00 per day. There is a £150.00 refundable security deposit
    •Initial Payment
    Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit payment and the signed booking form.

    Security Deposit
    A refundable security deposit of £150 is required to be paid with the balance of the rental. This is to be held as security against return of keys, inventory damage, excess cleaning costs, long distance telephone calls where applicable etc. The owner will return this deposit to the client subject to a satisfactory inspection.
  • Balance Payment
    The balance of hire will be due 2 months before the holiday commencement date. The owner reserves the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received 8 weeks prior to the holiday commencement date. Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival require FULL pre-payment.

It Is So Amazing in Kestrel Meadows!

It is so amazing in Kestrel Meadows! The first reason why I liked Kestrel Meadows is because in my school we had four teams “Osprey, Falcon, Merlin and KESTREL! All names are a different species of birds. Guess what team I was in?? KESTREL. Another reason why I like Kestrel Meadows is that when my Mum, Dad and I first entered the house, we thought, oh my gosh, this is huge, it's like a mansion in XXL! Well, that's what I definitely thought, though. What I also thought was have we got the wrong address? I hope not! It's been amazing since the first day we arrived. On about the 3rd or 4th day, Mum spotted an alligator. We (Mum and I) decided to name it Jefferson. Nice, huh? We also saw a lot of anhingas, White Ibis and/or Snowy Egret (still not sure which one it was yesterday) Well, anyway, thank you so much for the lovely stay is Kestrel Meadows! Warm Regards,

Beautiful Home

We spent a hectic 7 days in Disney so were delighted to come and recharge here. Beautiful home, catered for all our needs even with 3 busy children. Boca Grande Beach is not to be missed. We Have All Enjoyed Our Stay

We have all really enjoyed our stay at Kestrel Meadows. The area is very safe and with a fantastic view out the back. We have not spotted the alligator yet but have seen the raccoons. Visited many places while down here and we really liked: Historic Spanish Point off the North Tamiami Trail (very interesting tour of the area). Sarasota, Ft. Myers, Lido Key (lovely area), Siesta Key (very busy), Bradenton Beach (very nice, laid back area), Muscle Car Museum, Punta Gorda (lovely classic cars and a fantastic diner, very friendly), Boca Grande, Anna Marie Island (again, very nice, if can find a parking spot), Busch Gardens (bit expensive, but hey!) Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

So Impressed with this Wonderful House

This is our third time to Rotonda West and have been lucky enough to be here for 3½ weeks. We have been so impressed with this wonderful home, it has been a fantastic base and if we return to the area will definitely stay here again. Our highlights of our visit have been: The Fishery at Placida (great food, fantastic views.) Boca Boats to Cabbage Key (an unforgettable experience, the dolphins are fantastic.) Baseball (thank you for the opportunity to use the season tickets we had a great night out and they won!) And for the first time we saw an alligator - not once but several times. With two children and lovely weather every day we used the pool most days for hours on end. Thank you it has been wonderful, a real escape from everyday life but now it is back to school and a not so warm UK!

Perfect Relaxing Vacation
