Cozy one bedroom, large backyard garden

We have a large one bedroom, one bathroom apartment available to rent for long or short-term. The apartment is located in a beautiful century old building. My husband and I live on-site and take great pride in the ongoing restorations of this beautiful building. Fresh veggies available from garden in season. Backyard BBQ available. Sleeps two in queen bed, one single air mattress, plus large sectional couch that can sleep two more. The apartment is fully furnished, including a washer and dryer. We provide all bed linens and towels. We do allow pets. We provide blankets that are to be used on all furniture, as well as on the bed in case the pet is on any of these. We do not charge a pet fee, but will charge for any damages incurred, including an excessive amount of pet hair.
About Kara White

We are a husband and wife who own a business doing property renovations. We spent so much time making other peoples places beautiful, and so we figured it was about time to use some of that skill for ourselves. The building is a four-plex, and we have completed one of the apartments to rent out as a short term rental. We ourselves live in one unit. It has been truly rewarding seeing these apartments come to life and take on a style unique to each one. There is so much character in this building.

What makes this apartment unique

The proximity to downtown, and to Sacred Heart, Deaconess, and Shriners is exceptional. We have had many people stay with us while they are undergoing treatment, and have found it so nice to be close to the Hospital, yet not in an uncomfortable hotel room. If you attend any of the festivals downtown, then you can walk from our location. I run Bloomsday every year, and I walk down to the race start right from my apartment.

    We provide blankets to be used for the bed and furniture. We do not charge a pet fee, and have found that most people are very respectful with their pets. If there is damage however, we will charge a minimum of a $75 fee for repairs. This includes an excessive amount of pet hair on the furniture, or beds requiring professional cleaning.

Bloomsday Accommodations

Four of my girlfriends and I rented two of Kara's apartments in this building for our annual Girls Weekend/Bloomsday Fest and we loved the place! We spent most of our time in the downstairs unit and had plenty of room in the kitchen for hanging out. We enjoyed lounging in the living room in front of the TV while we rested our weary bones after Bloomsday. We were very comfortable inside, but the porch in the back was my favorite spot. It's pretty noisy with the freeway and the trains going by all day & night, but the back yard is very pleasant with pretty flowers & trees. I would also like to compliment Kara's interior decor - I love her style and wish that she could come do my house :) Convenient bus rides to and from downtown if you're willing to walk a few blocks.

Our stay in Nov. was delightful. We were able to experience this property as well as another one owned by Kara and Nathan. The size of this unit is large and comfortable, internet access was more than satisfactory, everything that was necessary was available in the kitchen. We were even invited to a chili dog roast with some of their friends and neighbors! On our next home search to Spokane we would not hesitate to stay here. Thanks to both of you.

Very Accommodating!

I actually got this place for my daughter and her fiance. I am not familiar with the property but I am very familiar with Kara and her husband, Nathan. From the get go, Kara and Nathan were wonderful to work with. Sooooo very accommodating and warm. They radiated hospitality and even took that a step further by offering to drive my 'car-less' daughter and fiance to the grocery store, to the airport, etc. (and even picked them up from the hotel they were originally staying). I have never had such a pleasant experience with any vrbo owner to this extent. All I can say if I had such an incredible experience with the owners, I can only imagine what care and pride they take in their rental - I'm sure it shows!!

The Best VRBO In Spokane!!

I have stayed here multiple times and in both apartments that are available. It's a great place to relax and rejuvinate for another day in Spokane. The owners are awesome! They do everything possible to make this your home away from home. I am always impressed with the cleanness of this place. Seriously, cleaner than most hotels! It's great having free laundry facilities on-site for longer stays. Full-sized kitchen and appliances make this place work for families, too. So, in summary, this place is the jewel in Spokane's crown!! It's my favorite place to stay in Spokane area.

Very Charming!

Stayed here on business and brought my mom with me. We loved the location. Close to walking trails and to downtown. Walked to Huckleberries grocery store every morning.
Close to the highway but very quite inside.
Comfortable apt. Nice bed, big television, comfortable sectional sofa, well stocked little kitchen, tastefully decorated. Very clean, and Kara the owner was very easy to deal with.
I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Spokane.
