We were a group of 5 (3 adults and 2 kids) who have found -as suggested in the description of this lovely apartment- "the oasis in the middle of Amsterdam”. It was my first time in Amsterdam and having stayed at a so-called 5-star hotel the during the first three days of my trip, I was blessed to spend the second half of the trip in this beautiful apartment. Photos are great reflecting all the light, cleanliness and abundance of space, yet what you won’t see in the photos will be waiting for you upon your arrival: amazing view of the canal, proximity to the city center with absolute privacy, the serene decoration with subtle sophistication and most importantly the urge to renovate your own bathroom when you get back home (beautiful renovation, just beautiful). The city is festive enough, so is Mark’s neighborhood, yet in a quiet tone. We spent most of our time around Prinsengracht: walked to the Hermitage, Rembrandhuis, shopped in the markets listed on the map Mark prepared for us, dined in restaurants on nearby Utrechtsestraat, had afternoon drinks along Amstel. If you are new to the renting an apartment concept, Mark is a great host to start it with. We were in touch with him from beginning till the end getting immediate answers to all of our questions. I highly recommend this property, you will be delighted.
