I am originally from Iowa and Leland is a Native of Hawaii, Army-Retired. We fell in love with the life style and beauty of the Big Island. Our wonderful Ohana, Ui'lani and Stan will enjoy assisting you. We hope that you will enjoy our Aloha and our home,

U`ilani purchased this cottage in 2011
We chose beautiful Kaloli Point area because it's rural, safe, and friendly. Towns are easily accessible, but still has that small 'coastal community feel'.
It's always lush and green here! We are right in the middle of the best parts of the the Windward side of the Island. Beautiful Hilo to the North and tropical Kalapana to the South. There is so much history here in the 'Aina (land).
Aloha and Mahalo for having this beautiful place to share. You provided all we needed plus a boggie board. It was a great place to come back to every night after a full day of touring, snorkeling, ziplining.
You are completely surrounded by tree tops on all sides. Private, quiet spacious enough and you will want for nothing amenity-wise while there. As long time visitor to the Big Island it was a ideal location for my daughters to stay while we stayed with friends in HPP . Short walk to the ocean in a very safe area. I wish this place was mine.
Simply Paradise was perfect location for me, full kitchen facility, internet, tv connection, birds singing, tons of windows, trees outside to offer some shade, very good floor plan, and above all U'ilani and Stan are perfect care taker of this hide out. I would certainly visit this place again. DS
Cottage was better than expected! Very cozy with a lot of room for the two of us. We enjoyed the full kitchen and amenities. It is a great place to unwind after a day of exploring the island. It's well located, easy to get to and very private! It does get hot inside when the sun is up, but cools rather quickly when night sets in. It's a good base to explore the east side of the island, and about a 2 hour drive to the south and west side. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
Simply Paradise was tucked away in the rain forest which let my wife and I enjoy a peaceful stay on the east side. There was everything we needed and we awoke to the sounds of the birds and the frogs. The ocean is just a short walk down Beach Rd. Its location provides easy access to some of the east sides sights such as Volcanos National Park and the city of Hilo. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I stayed at this property for a week for a bit of rest, reading and quiet contemplation, and it was perfect. The ocean-front is a pleasant 15 min walk along Beach Road and is a great place both at sunrise and at dusk. The cloudless skies and the waning phase of the moon made for spectacular star gazing. The property is roomy and bright, with lush green foliage all around. Unlike many other properties nearby, this house was built with much of the surrounding native vegetation preserved and augmented with tropical plants. The furnishings and amenities were simple, but quite functional ; there was a generous supply of towels, sheets, etc. Internet worked quite well. The location is convenient to drive to Volcanoes national park, Hilo town and the Hawaii tropical Botanical Garden (a must see for nature lovers!). The only drawback is that on hot days, the interior of the house becomes unbearably hot (partly due to the greenhouse effect of the big windows), but it was cooler out on the lanai. Fortunately, it cools down rather quickly after sunset. I'd love to return for a stay during the winter.
Located in the lush, tropical paradise of Sunny Kaloli Point. Our private cottages are located only minutes away from rugged volcanic coast and near Black Sand Beaches, Akaka Falls, Volcanoes National Park, Active Kilauea Volcano. Stroll thru historic Pahoa Town. Watch whales from the coastline (Dec.-Mar), take an exciting Zip Line Tour, pick up fresh, local items at many Farmers Markets. Or just 'kick back' and enjoy the birds, foliage and Hawaiian music in the hammock on the lanai!
