About Jenny Jacque
Drew and Virginia Litzenberger live in Asheville, NC. John and Anna Litzenberger live in Zurich and southern France. We have used our home base in Aspen for years for family ski trips and for summer vacations with friends.
Jenny Jacque purchased this condo in 1987
Why Jenny Jacque chose Aspen
We looked at many other areas for a family vacation place but Aspen is special. It is a real town with a real history and vivid local characters. The skiing is superb. The summers are cool, sunny and bright, full of farmers' markets, music, food and wine festivals, bicycle races, theater and concerts. The spirit is lively, creative and irreverent. We love it here and hope you will, too.
What makes this condo unique
The river makes this particular place special. The sounds of the bubbling waters make every day serene. We watch swallows, ducks and magpies. This year we spotted a weasel making its home below. We have seen a very large coyote in the snow at water's edge in early morning. There is more birding a short walk up-river. Bear watching is a local summer sport. The super steep short Ute Trail up Aspen Mountain is steps from the front door. And the bus stop leading everywhere is just across the street.
