In the Heart of Long Island Wine Country

Enjoy a relaxing evening after a fun filled day on the North Fork enjoying the best of what Long Island has to offer, wineries, antiquing, historic Greenport, quaint villages, restaurants, boating, shopping, swimming and even Golf!

This newly build extension of a 17th century Homestead house is tucked away on two acres of land in the heart of wine country.

The homestead house has long since been abandoned for a larger home on the property and is now used as a pool house in the summer.

The newly built extension has a full kitchen, full bathroom, one Bedroom and a comfortable living room overlooking the pond in the woods.

If weather permits, you can even cozy up to a fire in the rustic fire-pit just outside the back door. Eat a meal in the yard overlooking the rustic natural pond or just sit with a nice cup of coffee or continue enjoying the fruits of the land.
About Lil and Tom Pavone

My husband and I bought this property to fulfill our dream of someday running a Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Long Island Wine country. We purchased this 2 acre piece of property in the country and renovated the big house with just that in mind. What came as a surprise to us is this hidden homestead house we came across in the overgrown vegetation. The house was built sometime in the 1600's and was expanded to include a garage sometime in the 1900's. That garage needed to be torn down due to neglect but the homestead house stood firm. We built a new apartment where the garage once stood and renovated (in a rustic way) the homestead house as our pool house since it sits adjacent to the pool area.

The apartment overlooks the large natural pond nestled in the woods. It's a lovely place to hang your hat at the end of a day of activities on the North Fork.

We very much enjoy our summers there and look forward to opening our bed and breakfast in a couple of years.

In the meantime, we welcome you to come stay at in this lovely secluded apartment at Lily Pond. It's very quiet and cozy. You'll love hanging out there after a fun filled day on the North Fork. We know you'll enjoy the place as much as we do.

It's conveniently located in the middle of the best wineries Long Island has to offer. Greenport is only ten minutes away and Riverhead is only thirty minutes. Do whatever you like best and relax too!

My Labor Day Gettaway at Lily Pond

I recently had occasion to spend the Labor Day weekend at Lily Pond. I'm delighted to say that this is just the type of getaway that I hoping for. Upon my arrival, I was cordially greeted by the host and hostess with a fresh cup of coffee, and a guided tour of the estate and it's amenities. The accomodations were comfortable and convenient, without losing the quaint coziness of a Long Island cottage. The grounds were meticulously landscaped, the pool was spotless, and the evening firepit was a pleasure to share with friends. The location is also ideal, and I don't think I was ever more than 10 minutes away from the many attractions that this area has to offer. If time permits, I am looking forward to returning to enjoy the Autumn foliage. Regards...
