About Pete Kuehne

I am a real estate investor and real estate agent in the Asheville area. I love creating spaces where people can feel at home while they are enjoying their vacation.

Pete Kuehne purchased this apartment in 2007
Why Pete Kuehne chose Asheville

This home is in THE perfect location, very close to downtown. This particular house is unique because of its original 1920s architecture. It was restored with authentic hardware and remains true to its design. It is located in a neighborhood where many homes are being restored to their former glory. The entire area is seeing an influx of commerce as well, with a flagship Harris Teeter grocery store and a Trader Joe's market coming soon within easy walking distance. Also within easy walking distance is the popular Greenlife Grocery store, where you will see a pageant of Asheville's diverse lifestyles. A strip of greenway is soon to be developed along the river on Broadway. This park will provide biking and walking trails and will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

What makes this apartment unique

You can walk to the Convention Center in about ten minutes from this location. Pack Square is about twelve minutes by foot. The home is also very close to the historic Montford district, which is a very beautiful collection of grand homes. Despite the proximity to downtown, this house is very private because it is set back from the street by a stone retaining wall and a gate.

Family fun

My family had a great time while staying in Asheville. The house was perfect!
Even our little dog Lizzy had fun.
The house had such character and we enjoyed having our own rooms (couldn't have had that in a hotel).
We would stay here again. It was great!
Thanks Pete!
God bless you.

The apartment was much roomier than expected and had a wonderful, woody, tree-house feel. We were very comfortable. You actually can walk to downtown.

Owner's Response: You are not the first to describe it as a tree house! In fact, that's what we call it too. Glad you enjoyed your stay at our favorite rental property in Asheville!

Listing was accurate in every way. Well maintained and clean. Pete (owner) answered all questions. I would (and have) recommended this property to family and friends. Greenlife (whole foods) was an easy walk and perfect. Five Points restaurant 1 block and real good and well priced. Easy walk to downtown.

Owner's Response: Just ate at five points the other day. It really is great food at super prices. We are excited to report that work on Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter is progressing rapidly and soon every conceivable food option will be available withing easy walking distance!

Great apartment in an excellent location!

This is a second floor apartment of a home built in the 1900's or so. It has a lot of character and a flight of stairs. Parking is on the street, so remember that when you're packing - you have to carry what you bring! That's the only downside, but it wasn't a problem for us. Kitchen is great with plenty of dishes, wine glasses and supplies. There was no clock in the bedrooms or hairdryer, so if you need those items, bring them. My favorite room is the living room/dining area - the light coming in those windows is amazing! Very cozy and inviting area - perfect area for morning coffee. There's also a nice porch, which I'm sure you could use. Leave your car parked and walk to town in about 7 min. - it's close, easy and seemed very safe. Grocery store is a 5 min. walk.

Beautiful getaway, yet close to town

My beau and I stayed here over New Years Eve (a great little escape from Atlanta) and we were so pleased with everything. The apartment, as well as the shared space, was so warm and welcoming. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, with wood detailing, reminiscent of a mountain cabin, yet with all the facilities of a intown living space. The temperature was bobbing in the 30s throughout our stay, yet the apartment was always warm and cozy. It's about 15 minute walk into downtown Asheville. It seems like the most direct way is alongside a main road with well-lit sidewalks on either side. Asheville was great, as always :) It's a low key city with enough going on and in the surrounding areas to be kept pleasantly busy, if you so choose.

We definitely hope to be back soon and full heartedly recommend the apartment.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed our home! Asheville is a great place to visit, and it is so accessible from this location. We live in Brevard and we love to use it ourselves when we can get the chance. Please come back and see us any time!
