Chalet Les Melezes is a traditional Swiss chalet in private grounds in the beautiful village of Ovronnaz, Switzerland. At an altitude of approx 1400m, the mountain air, winter or summer could not be more refreshing & guarantees a fantastic nights sleep! The Chalet has 5 bedrooms. 4 Doubles with balconies & 1 adult bunk room. The doubles can be split to form twins. Three of the doubles have wash basins. There are 3 bathrooms. (Two shower rooms with WC & one bathroom with shower and WC). The open plan aspect of the living area lends itself to family or group get togethers. The kitchen is new and practical with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, double sinks and dishwasher with plenty of worktop space. The dining area seats 12 and the lounge has three big sofas to flake out on in front of the log fire and all the usual Flat Screen, DVD, and Hi Fi gizmos! The Internal garage houses all the clutter and outside a big terrace and lawn to BBQ and enjoy. The snow clear drive parks 4/5 cars.

At an altitude of 1400 meters Chalet Les Melezes commands lovely views over the Rhone Valley. Built on the edge of the forest its surroundings lend themselves to the most relaxing nights sleep you can have broken occasionally by the sound of bickering squirrels chasing each other high in the tree tops. Ovronnaz remains one of Switzerland's hidden gems with its fantastic snow record in winter and blisteringly hot summers, both the result of the local micro climate unique to the central Valais region. Local residents seamlessly blend traditional vocations of wine and cheese making with more modern day aspects of tourism, caring for skiers in winter , walkers and mountain bikers in summer. We know you will be given a very warm welcome whenever you visit.

  • Quoted rates are for the use of the chalet including all mains services, heating, linen , hand towels and final cleaning. . Visitor taxes are not included and should be paid locally at the tourist information office next to the co-op in the village. Taxes generally should be calculated at CHF1.5 per person day. A security deposit of CHF300 is charged .

    One of our greatest loves is to show groups around the Valais region, taking in some of the lesser known yet fabulous ski stations as well as the better known resorts. We have been working in the region since 1981 and would love to show you round. For intermediate skiers to powder hounds we know where the best snow is and its all easily accessible from Ovronnaz!! To this end we have put together a suggested itinerary for all levels of skiers, so get in touch on the phone and we can discuss an exciting extra addition to your stay. Guides from the Ecole Suisse De Ski in Ovronnaz are also available to accompany skiers if require
  • Don't want to self cater and you don't want eat out each night either ? Our Chalet Housekeeper 'Lea' will be happy to cater for you for however many evenings you wish. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements

Notes: Smokers are requested to confine their smoking to outside the chalet at ground level only. Whilst smoking is strictly prohibited within the chalet or on balconies you will find ash trays available for use in the grounds for the considerate disposal of ash and butts. The spas and swimming pools of Thermalp in the village are a 300mtr walk in summer. ( 10mins). In the winter they are a 10 mins, 1km drive. (Walking 25 Mins.)
