This is a well appointed Elk Mountain home located in the historic Beaverdam Valley of North Asheville. It provides incredible views of Town Mountain and further to the West, Mount Pisgah. Everything is provided in this home making for a thoroughly comfortable and relaxing environment with all of the modern conveniences in a neighborhood of beautiful and quiet mountain homes. A Black Bear siting makes for an exciting moment but watching the sunrises and sunsets from this mountain home are magical and can be counted to occur every day. The property is within ten minutes of Restaurants, Grocery, Upscale Grocery, Bakery, Gas, Post Office, Pharmacy, Hardware and the North Asheville Library. Churches are with five miles of the residence and downtown Asheville is reached within 20 minutes. The Asheville Regional Airport is 30 minutes from this home making it very convenient for flights from many large cities. A fast trip up three switchbacks sets this home at approximately 2500 feet altitude making it well high enough for splendid views. The weather is remarkably crisp and clear during these winter months begging an invitation for a mountain walk. All seasons permit outdoor activities and returning to this warm and well built home assures a good rest from the days full activities. Biltmore House is a must do while visiting Asheville. You will spend at least four hours touring the home and garden. A lunch or dinner at the Biltmore Inn or one of the other excellent restaurants on the Estate inludes fare which is almost exclusively raised or grown on the grounds. Winter season offers the beautiful Christmas trees and an opportunity to see America's Home during what many consider the most glorious time of the year. In addition to Biltmore House, the Village of Biltmore outside of the gates to the Estate offers excellent dining and historical shops to visit. The Corner Kitchen on Boston Way is one of the few restaurants visited by the President and First Lady during their stay at The Grove Park Inn. A visit to "The Grove" is a must. This Inn has been visited by many famous artists, politicians and dignitaries during the last century. Their pictures hang in one of the enormous hallways. The Grove also has a world class spa. Additionally it hosts a national Gingerbread contest which is televised annually. Biking and hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway is well known among the locals as well as the numerous tourist who visit Asheville regularly.
