We are completely waterfront on Lake Annecy in the tiny hamlet of Bout du Lac, which means end of the lake. Our nearest village is Doussard approx 3 kms which is a lovely village with a variety of small shops such as bakeries and tabacs plus a small supermarket. We are across from a long wonderful cycling track which goes to Annecy or Albertville, ask about where you can book bikes in advance to avoid missing out. Amazing cycling routes (the tour de France went past our door in 2009), excellent swimming, sailing, paragliding, water skiing activities, walks, diving and terrific shops and restaurants in and around Annecy. Sailing school and port around the corner door with a multitude of boats and activities. Pedalos, yachts, speed boats. Waterskiing and wakeboarding lessons on lake. VTT, downhill biking in the hills all around. 2 lovely golf courses nearby, Giez (4km) and Talloires (8kms). Ski Chamonix, La Clusaz, Meribel, Courchevel, Mont Blanc, Val Thorens in winter, within 1 hour.
