Although Green Valley Lake is a small town, you will be able to find everything you need. There is a General Store that carries everything you could need. There are also a few restaurants in town and the Eagle's Nest Tavern. During the summer there is swimming, boating and fishing at the lake. You can also fish during the winter from the shore. Winter in Green Valley Lake is incredible! We are at the highest elevation in the San Bernardino Mountains, so we get a lot of snow! There are lots of areas in town for snow play and sledding, and we are very close to the ski resorts for those who enjoy skiing and/or snowboarding. The location of the Welcome Inn is perfect for all seasons. During the summer the lake is just across the street and during the winter accessing our Inn is really easy because we are the first road to get snowplowed. The Welcome Inn is the perfect place to relax and create memories!

Clearly 1DisapointedDad is a drama king so do what the rest of us normal people would do with people like him and ignore it. I stayed here recently to get away from my hectic life and it was a dream come true for me. I could turn all devices off & enjoy the fresh mountain air. The staff including the owner was amazingly nice & very informative when it came to their little slice of paradise. The place was very clean & did NOT smell like mold. I felt very safe & it sure was far from a death trap. I too have an 8 & 11 yr. old & their safety was far from a concern. 1 window was missing a screen but come to find out it was in the process of being replaced due to normal wear from the elements. We all know how harsh the elements can be & the mountains are no stranger to that. Like with everything in life from time to time things have to be replaced so I completely understood. I was able to get my kids away from their devices & out for a nice nature walk. The cabin is above the general store as it states & yes there is a bar next door. It did get a little loud at one point but all I had to do was walk done the single flight of stairs & kindly ask the bartender to have things quieted down. She was very sweet, completely understood & as requested things quieted down. There were no problems from there. Everything it states it is it is & more. Everyone was so welcoming and we will be staying again for sure. Thank you Krystal & Michael for providing us with such a pleasant stay. My kids and I had loads of fun & we've made some lasting memories for years to come. Highly recommended.
The cabin was amazing! The cabin was bigger than we thought and it was worth it for a good price. Friendly staffs.
My wife, two children (ages 11 & 8yo), and me really needed a break from the rat race of life and really wanted to have a nice relaxing couple days up in the mountains. We saw this ad and it looked very nice. What they don't tell you is that it is literally on top of the General Store. You have to lug your bags up to flights of stairs, then to walk into a moldy smelly cabin. By no means we're we expecting the Ritz, and we have stayed in plenty of cabins, but there were not even any screens on the windows so the bugs just fly in, the mold smell was horrible, the place was just dirty, and there is a bar literally right next door, and it got loud. When we told the owner that this was not what we were expected at all, and were not satisfied or happy, he didn't really care, and said he would have to charge us for the first night, and then would refund the second. So while I'm booking it over the phone, you tell me it's great for the kids, and how beautiful the place is, get us to drive up there, and now we are stuck. Hook, line, sinker! Well, we didn't stay because it was just too nasty to even sit down on the couches, and the smell did not go away. So basically we drove up and got excited to stay in the mountains with fishing poles and gear, and had to turn around and drive back home. My wife was crying my kids were crying, and there was nothing we could do. The owner still after three months has not refunded our second night. He told me after the second call that his financial person will get to it. So buyer beware, make sure you call and ask if the cabins in Greenvalley are detached or on top of a general store and next to a bar so you know what to expect when you drive two hours to try and have a nice Family getaway. I guess I just would not treat somebody the way that he treated us and I would also pay them back, but I guess he's too hard up for the money. Thanks for a horrible experience.
This was an amazing bed and breakfast! The suite was great, very cozy and we felt so comfortable there! The employees were so friendly and were more than willing to help with any questions we had, and were very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of suggestions of what we could do around Green Valley Lake. The lake is right across the street and we went fishing and we are planning on coming back up next summer so we can also go swimming, as well as coming back up this winter so we can take advantage of the snow and go sledding! There are so many great places to hike around and explore too! Breakfast was brought to us the night before, and they made sure all of our other needs were met when they brought up the breakfast basket. Everything was just as it was described and pictured, and the kitchen had all of the cookware we needed to make meals. The General Store even had movies that we could rent and the suite had a DVD player as well as cable on the TV. We have been recommending the Welcome Inn to everyone and we most definitely will be back!!
We are located less than 7 miles away from Snow Valley Ski Resort, which is one of the premier skiing locations in the San Bernardino Mountains. In addition to being so close to Snow Valley, we are also only 13 miles away from Big Bear Dam and only 15 miles away from Lake Arrowhead. There are lots of things to do year round in the mountain areas. Green Valley Lake is open for fishing and swimming May - October, and during the winter months Green Valley Lake turns into a beautiful winter wonderland!! This town is a perfect place for a getaway.
