El Paraiso Encontro (Paradise Found) is 2500m2 of lush gardens, orchard, vegetable garden (please feel free to help yourself to any in season fruit and veg) and private pool. The villa - Poco Paraiso (Little Paradise) is entered via large double gates and drive providing ample parking and has its own 35m2 walled courtyard with bbq, bistro table and chairs for al-fresco dining, sun loungers and offers complete privacy. This spacious self-catering accommodation with one en-suite bedroom, open plan living, dining and kitchen is all on one level. The interior is of course elegantly furnished to a superb standard. Our 8 x 4 m swimming pool is enclosed and surrounded by lush gardens and is private to guests for the duration of their stay. The pool area has modern and comfortable sun loungers and parasols giving plenty shade when required. There is also a hammock under the peach tree for those lazy afternoon naps and for the more energetic a multi-gym and stepper are available for guests.

Its whitewashed villages, traditional fiestas, delicious cured hams and chilled manzanila wine. The delightful town of Priego de Cordoba, quite justly known as the Baroque Jewel is a beautiful little town, lively and flourishing yet immersed in history and old world charm. Above all its a town which just invites you to stroll. Sun soaked days and balmy evenings coupled with fantastic cuisine make this the ideal holiday destination to relax and unwind. If however you want to experience the full flavour of Spain Priego de Cordoba lies in the very centre of Andalucia, almost central from its major cities. That in itself is a pretty good reason to base a holiday here. Another is it just happens to be unbelievably beautiful.

Notes: The lounge has two comfortable leather sofa's, satellite TV, DVD, CD player, well stocked library and log burning stove. Full windows to the front of the villa afford the courtyard as an extension of the lounge. Electric cooling fans are supplied. The modern kitchen provides oven, hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and ample utensils, glassware and crockery to make your stay enjoyable. The main house is fitted with a state of the art water filter system and guests are provided with filtered water for the duration of their stay. There is also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, picnic box and games, The villa is all on one level however there is a small step both inside and outside the villa. Guests can also use the facilities of the nearby hotel (500m) which include restaurant/bar/pool/water slides. The owners live on-site and can provide you with any information or help you may require however your privacy is respected at all time

Central base to discover Andalucia: Granada - Alhambra Palace. The Alhambra Palace in Granada is one of the most visited attractions in all of Spain and is without doubt stunning in its proportions and archetectural grandure. Booking is recommended to avoid dissapointment and best discovered outwith the normal tourist season. The Islamic Mesquita (Mosque) of Cordoba is fantastic in its entirety. Both inside and out its amazing stature, archways and ceilings are a site to behold. When discovering Andalucia its a day out not to be missed, The Plaza de Espania is one of Seville's main attractions and another superb example of the amazing sights Andalucia has to offer. For a cultural feast and awe inspired beauty both natural and man-made all can be found here in Andalucia.

Winter and Spring: Winter and Spring in Andalucia are still a delight due to the mild winter climate. It is probably the best time to discover the fantastic flora and fawna of the area before the sun takes its tole on the landscape. Walking along the Via Verde (Green Way) is fantastic at this time of year and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

How to Get Here: Most budjet airlines such as Easyjet, Flyglobespan, Ryanair, Jet2 etc fly into Malaga International Airport along with the major tour operators like Thomas Cook, First Choice etc. and a limited amount into Granada Airport which, if you can get a flight, is nearer to Priego. Both these airports have an abundance of car hire companies such as Helle Holis, Hertz etc. There is a new motorway straight through from Malaga to Cordoba which is great and reduces your travelling time to approx 70-80 mins. Granada Airport - 50kms Malaga International Airport - 115kms

This little villa was everything we wanted and more. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Andalusia with much more to see than the bigger cities which are less than an hour away.

The villa its self was a home from home with every facility we could have wished for and spotlessly clean. It was more spacious than the pictures suggest and very well presented. We spent most of the time in our own private courtyard where we had breakfast in the sun and in the evening it was fantastic to sit and look at the clear starry skies with a glass of chilled wine.

The owners Pete and Mary were fantastic making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. All our needs were catered for and we especially loved the fresh fruit and veg from Pete's garden and orchard. The hospitality of these owners was second to none and nothing was too much trouble for them. Mary even handed in some cakes and tablet she had made even though the welcome pack was the best we had ever had consisting of bread, ham, cheese, beer, wine and so much more.

The pool area was also great and kept immaculate and the views were outstanding, it was lovely to sit by the pool in the heat of the day and just take in the surroundings.

For a relaxing holiday and a desire to see what real Spain is all about we would definately recomend El Paraiso Encontro and we ourselves are looking to book again for our aniversary next year.
