4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, stone fireplace, hot tub

This 2700 sq ft solid home is more than a ski house. It features a tall stone fireplace in a large living room with sectional couches, a cozy TV room with a wood stove + 2 down couches & leather recliner, 2 bedrooms downstairs, & master bedroom, office and loft upstairs. There is a full bathroom on each floor between the 2 bedrooms. The large open kitchen area is a perfect entertaining-while-cooking area. Lots of outdoor deck space with a hot tub.

Located on a dead end dirt road in the middle of 400 acres of National Forest, the property also abuts the Catamount Trail- great for snowshoeing, hiking, and back-country x-c skiing.

It is only 10 minutes (4 miles) from Bromley & 20 minutes from Stratton. Both mountains can be seen from the house. Also, we have seen moose on our road!

Peru is home to a famous old fashioned country fair, named one of Vermont's Top 10 Events. There are 3 other houses 'in the neighborhood,' & we have 10 acre zoning. A safe place for kids to play. Peaceful, beautiful property with flowers & berry patches. Sleigh rides are available down the road. Manchester, with more restaurants and shopping, is a short 15 minute drive. The house is very clean. We also have the most delicious water in the world: our well is over 400 feet deep.

About Virginia Morgan

After raising two sons in Vermont, my husband & I moved overseas in 2010 for work reasons. (My husband worked at Stratton for 15 years). We also have a beach front home in Florida that we have rented out for years (#333960), so you can rent from us with confidence! We would ideally like a renter to take the whole winter season. We have a caretaker. We just spent the summer cleaning & painting the house. The house has a new roof and is now energy efficient.

This is a real house, not a flimsy condo. Even at 2700 sq feet, it is energy efficient. Its location is perfect for anyone who wants to get away. Fall foliage is beautiful. If you are a skier, you have two mountains to choose from: we are located in between Bromley & Stratton. Magic Mt. is also nearby. Okemo is about an hour away.

What makes this house unique

Sleigh rides are available just down the road. We have a beautiful fireplace and outdoor hot tub.The Catamount Trail runs along the property line. Our town hosts the Peru Country Fair the last weekend of September. No drafts or cold spots in this house, nor dark basement bedrooms or low ceilings.

This is a very quiet road. We recommend having four wheel drive vehicles in the winter months.
