AMAZING - AMAZING - AMAZING!

What an amazing home - what an amazing experience. Absolutely beautiful, and the house staff is beyond accommodating. We used this home as a central point for Machu Picchu, Pisac, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, etc etc. From the moment we reached out to the home owners to the time of our arrival, everything was handled professionally, efficiently, and we always heard back, regardless of our questions or need, in an extremely timely fashion.

This is a dream home, in a beautiful location, and the family that provides the cooking (if requested), transportation (if requested) and other services and support, has been so fantastic. Sweet, accommodating, supportive, but always in the background.

We did rent a car, and never had an issue, but did use the house driver a few times, and he was fantastic. The food provided when we asked to have meals prepared was authentic, and delicious. We will be back, and can't thank the home owners, and the staff enough for making our stay a wonderful one.

Thanks again! a truly memorable experience we will never forget.

Exceptional House and Staff in Pisac in the southern Sacred Valley

We stayed for 3 nights and it was fantastic in all respects. This is as nice as any place we have stayed and we have been to a number of mountain homes in the US. The location is very good and I liked it better than Cusco because it was a small community and a beautiful location. The market in Pisac and the Pisac ruins are very close and were both great. The best part was that the managing couple were wonderful and very helpful. They made two dinners for us and we had 10 people so it was a big meal and the food was great and homemade. I would like to visit again in the future. Thanks to Choque and Jesusa for everything they did for us!

A corner of paradise in the Sacred Valley!

My family of 4 stayed at Martina Wasi for 4 nights in early July and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful - full of wonderful art and superb design features that make it both homey and luxurious at the same time. The couple who are caretakers truly take care of you while you are there - with a fire lit every night, a wonderful breakfast served in the morning, and any other assistance you might request including cooking delicious meals using local ingredients. At night we sat in the yard and looked up at more stars than we had ever seen before and then went back inside to tuck ourselves in under the lofty down comforters that kept chill away.
The location of the house is perfect - within walking distance of the town of Pisac which has a huge handicraft market, many restaurants, and its own set of Incan ruins that rivals those found at Machu Picchu. You can get to and from Machu Picchu as a day trip from the house, as well as to other archeologically significant towns and sites. Cuzco is about 50 minutes away.
We only wish we lived in Peru and not Massachusetts so that we could visit Martina Wasi on a regular basis!

Incredible Pisac View @The Sacred Valley of Los Inkas

This is not my first time to travel to Cusco or renting the House. I've been able not just stay in the house buy also get to know Choque and his wife (guardian, driver and cook in the house) and cook with them or bring a local band to play for a family party. In The Sacred Valley location is truly important, Sun means perfect temperature and shade is cold ( rememberthat you are at 8500 feet) this house is perfectly located, having sun until late in the day. In my case hiking and cooking means having a great time or not. Hiking is just crossing the house entrance and cooking outside with a breathtaking view doing a barbecue or Caja China will let me have a perfect day.
You will be just 5 minutes from Pisac Ruin upper entrance or 45 minutes from Cusco City or Moray (agricultural Inka Lab) and 1 hour from Ollantaytambo.
Last but not least important will be comfort, the inner chimney, the great rooms and the open kitchen will make you stay like a luxury hotel with the comfort of being able to share more time with friends or family, whoever you decide to travel with.

Beautiful home with sublime yard and view

The two previous excellent reviews were spot on. This is a wonderful vacation rental. It was helpful that we were able to arrange our stay through email with an english speaking relative of the owners. We were picked up promptly at the airport in Cusco by the driver from the house. The home is spacious and clean. We had plenty of hot water for showers and baths. We especially enjoyed the yard and gardens and the fire in the evening. The house managers took excellent care of us. One night the power went out for a while and the managers were right there immediately lighting candles and checking to see we were ok. The food they prepared was plentiful and delicous. We arranged for the driver to take us to the many sites we wanted to visit in the Sacred Valley. He was very patient with us and our many questions. The house location is just below the Pisac ruins. We also arranged to have the driver take us to the train station in Ollyantantambo where we caught the Vista Dome train to Macchu Picchu to spend the day and returned to the house in the evening. Martina Wasi was a perfect home base for a week we will always cherish.
