Easter Week 2012
Stayed over Easter Week with our two teenage boys. The view from the balcony in Upper Camelot is really great. Even the view from the toilets is remarkable! Nice sandy lagoon and deeper area outside of the rocks right in front of the cottage, if you just like floating around. If you want to swim or snorkel, go to the other end of the boardwalk - the Accra Beach is probably the best beach on the island. Definitely rent some snorkeling equipment and swim out to the man-made reef in front of Accra Beach - lots of fish, and a couple of turtles out there you might see. If you're on a limited food budget, try Just Grillin' in front of the Accra Beach, and the pizza place in the same complex. At the new mall with Subway, halfway down the boardwalk, the Chinese food is good there. The ice cream at Chefette, across from Accra Beach, is good and costs much less than Haagen Daz at the new mall. All of these places you can get to go, and take back to your beautiful balcony view!
Don't miss the feeding of the animals at 2pm at the Wild Animal Park - you won't forget that, and your kids, no matter what their age, will really enjoy it. Folkstone Marine Park is very good for snorkeling. Be careful of the sun - you'll get burnt in the middle of the day.
Mark is a fantastic owner, just a phone call away, and very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. After driving all over the island, I didn't as good a place to stay, and Mark makes it even better.
