This is a brand new 2 bedroom maisonette right on the beach. Walk east on the new boardwalk to the popular Accra beach or stroll west along the picturesque beach to the Hilton. Swim and snorkel in the lagoon out front or surf the barrier reef just beyond. Enjoy fabulous views from the elevated balconies and marvel at the colorful sunsets. Relax on the sea side patio in the shade of the almond tree and watch the fish jumping and the frigate birds and pelicans gliding over the brilliant and glittering sea.

Hastings is part of the Historic Garrison Area of Barbados. It is the location of the Old Colonial Officers Quarters and Army Hospital, (now Pavilion Court) It is also the beach entrance to the new Boardwalk. The Savannah consists of the Main Guard, a beautiful Victorian building complete with a large collection of Old Cannons, (put together by Major Mike Hartland), the Barbados Turf Club (Horse Racing), the Museum, and a vast open area of sports grounds for Rugby, Football, Cricket and Basketball all surrounded by walking and running tracks

Wave Surfing: This property is located right in front of a good left hand surf reef break. There are other excellent surf breaks (including 'Brandons' and 'Sunset at Accra') within easy walking distance along the beach. Best time of year for these local breaks is from January to May. March and April are usually the best months. When the surf is up it can last from 3 to 6 weeks, with best conditions on a rising tide at any time of the day.

Snorkeling and Scuba Diving: Good snorkeling is available all along the coast and within easy walk from the property. There is a small lagoon nearby where you can feed the fish with bread. Hundreds of fish will eat the bread right from your hand. Just outside the reef there are a couple of good scuba diving locations. Local Scuba groups visit these spots regularly.

Sailing and Horse Racing: You can rent a Hobie cat from beach operators in front of Coconut Court hotel 2 minutes walk along the beach from the property or just relax with a drink in hand and watch the Yacht Club regattas from the comfort of your elevated balcony (winter months) They tack up the coast and come so close to shore you can hear the captain calling the orders. In addition you can walk to the Garrison Savannah and place a bet on your favorite horse or hang out with the locals either in the Grand Stand with a coctail in hand or in one of the tents in the grounds and join a card game.

This has to be one of the most idyllic places to stay we've every encountered. Apart from the wonderful beach and lagoon in front of the house, the outlook over the turquoise sea and dazzling sunsets were memorable.
The house itself was comfortable, elegant and spacious with a huge kitchen/diner and two superb balconies overlooking the sea. The property was centrally located, near many shops, historic areas and restaurants within walking distance.
