Just wanted to say hi and let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your place before Thanksgiving. It was the perfect place for us and an easy drive for my dad and brother to come join us. The girls loved Macy and the cows, calves, goats and chickens!!
Hope you all have a safe and wonderful Christmas!!
We arrived in the evening after a long day in the car. The farm house was a true respite waiting for us. As another reviewer noted, the pictures really do not do the house justice. Everything was super clean and there was even a decorated Christmas tree! The Price family were very friendly and gracious hosts. We really enjoyed our time at the farm- especially feeding the goats! We only wish that we could have explored the farm a little bit more but we just didn't have enough time. If we ever find ourselves in need of accommodations in Knoxville in the future, we will definitely book Price Farm Getaway!
Great place to stay, we jammed 12 people (6 couples) into this little farm house and had a great time while we attended the MU vs TN football game. We stayed two nights.
We arrived in the dark and were so amazed to find everything there and ready for us, even the coffee only needed to be plugged in. Home very "shiny" clean and nicely furnished. The hosts were awesome, even took my handicapped spouse off my hands so that I had some "down" time. What a find!!
The photos do not do this home justice. It is so spacious, beautifully appointed with antiques and rustic touches. There were more than enough beds for our girls' getaway and the huge living room with 2 couches and 3 chairs was perfect for conversation and relaxation. We even spent time together on the front porch, where there was also plenty of seating. The kitchen table is large and the kitchen is furnished with dishes, silverware, microwave, oven/stove, refrigerator and very nice sink. The entire house was spotless. The AC is powerful (the wi-fi is not) and the tv is both large and easy to navigate. The parking area behind/beside the house has room for 3-5 cars.
The Price family is gracious and accommodating. They were genuinely concerned that our visit be pleasant. There were even bottles of water waiting in the refrigerator! I felt so welcome. Although their home is next door, we had complete privacy.
Because both doors require going up steps, I don't recommend it for anyone with mobility concerns. There are occasional sounds from farm equipment, but nothing that disturbed us. Just remember to bear right when you turn off of John Sevier!
We will definitely be returning for another ladies-only weekend.
Had a great time. Grand kids loved the tour of the farm. Great hospitality and comfort.
