This absolute beach front property builds on the charms of a 50's style 'beach shack 'by adding a touch of Palm Springs to this unique location. If you appreciate luxurious amenities , butterfly filled tropical gardens, retro inspired design and best of all absolute beach front locations, you will fall in love with AquaMondo. The property is conveniently located near major attractions in and round Cairns. The Great Barrier Reef is a mere 30-40 minute boat ride away, Cairns central 15min, the Rainforest of the table lands and Port Douglas 30 min to 45min. Within walking distance: the bird life of Redden Island reserve and the Sand spit of the (fish filled) Barron river. The area is surrounded by Numerous Pub's, Restaurants , waterfalls, river swimming holes and picnic areas.

AquaMondo is on Redden Island , a small enclave accessed through the Cairns beachside suburb of Machans Beach. Perfectly situated just 15 minutes to the town Centre of Cairns which a major stepping off point to the Great Barrier Reef. Numerous Dive and Day trips can be accessed from here with Green Island a mere 20 minute boat ride away. The Vibe of Machans Beach harks back to more simpler times, with much of the original houses still surviving along this Palm lined beach community. Major Rainforest area's are located just 15min West and North of Redden Island. The Famous Resort Town of Port Douglas is a 45 drive. Cape Tribulation and the Daintree world heritage Rainforest another 30 minutes beyond. AquaMondo offers a unique experience combining the absolute best of beach front and Rainforest locations with a design sensibility that builds on a life style that is becoming increasing rare.

Notes: This unique property has lush tropical gardens with 5 different fruit trees. Star Fruit, Mango, Custard Apple, Paw Paw and Lichee. Other plants include shrubs that attract exotic Butterfly's like the Cairns Bird Wing and the Ulysses. Directly opposite the house in the Redden Island Reserve. Over 150 exotic Tropical and Woodland bird species have been document here. The Garden is also home to the exotic White Lipped Green Tree Fog.

Diving and Reef Experiences: These Can be accessed and booked through numerous vendors in Cairns ( 12min drive) Michaelmas Cay,Hastings Reef, Artington reef, Upelu Cay, Normans Reef Batt Reef, Low Isles, Scott Reef and many more can be accessed from here.

Rainforest and Table Lands: A short 30 min up the mountain drive through the tropical rainforest will give you access to the table lands. The beautiful Town of Karanda has daily markets. The town is also know for it's incredible scenic railway and cable car.

Don't bring the Playstation...: Numerous Picnic areas, waterfalls and swimming holes. Most within 15 -20 of AquaMondo. Crystal Cascades is a rainforest river suitable swimming, lounging about or quaffing a few bottles of 'Moet'. Last week I spotted no less than 15 Ulysses Butterfly's. Gorgeous! Hire the Californian Beach cruisers and ride through the sleepy suburb of Machans Beach. Stop of at the pub for a light refressssssshment! Currently it's Mango season. AquaMondo has a mature tree. Boy oh boy.... 15 fresh Mango's daily- delivered right to the door step!! HAHAHA.
