Photos and Description of the Maleme vacation villa rental The villa is built at an unspoiled hill village near Maleme

The villa is 140 sq.m, built in a private area of 1,000 sq.m. Spend your day swimming in the private pool (32 sq.m), admiring the view of the glittering waters of the Cretan Sea, lolling back in the hammock or cooking at the barbecue or the traditional stone oven. The house is built on two levels. At the ground level you will find a traditional decorated living room with a fireplace at one corner, a 6 seats dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. At the same floor are two bedrooms with singe beds, both equipped with closet and AC. Each bedroom and the living room have French doors leading to the full of colourful flowers garden. The upper level comprises the master bedroom with a double bed, a closet, AC, a bathroom and a privet balcony with panoramic sea and mountain view. On this level you will also find a small veranda with wooden bench and table under a stone - built arch.

16 km west of Chania, this very fertile corner of Crete, Maleme was famously the setting for the epic Battle of Crete in the last world war. Today the countryside is dominated by sweet smelling orange groves and whispering plantations of tall bamboo which fringe the mile upon mile of almost deserted pebbly beaches, punctuated by the occasional cosmopolitan hotel. Maleme has a good choice of tavernas, and a fairly large supermarket and although the village has undoubtedly grown in recent years, it still retains a pleasingly unsophisticated air and if you explore a little, you'll soon find the local baker and a real Greek butcher's shop. For a little more action the bustling village of Platanias is just under 4km away but if you prefer a slower pace of life and a rather more tranquil atmosphere, there are several sleepy villages located just inland.

  • The prices refer to the villa itself and not to each person individually. They include all the facilities that are described on the advertisement, such as cleaning service, the usage of air-condition and pool etc.
  • The prices apply to reservations that will be done till the 15th of January and are the same with those of 2009. After this date the prices will be increased 10 – 15%.
  • A deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking. The balance can be paid at your arrival at the villa. Security deposit for damages is not demanded.
    The payment is accepted only in Euros and the prices may change a little, depending on the term of stay and the number of persons.
