The Stables is over 200 years old and offers a welcoming mix of comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location with easy access to Torquay's attractions and amenities. Situated in the leafy Wellswood area of Torquay, the centre and harbour are a 10 minute walk away, while the Blue Flag Meadfoot Beach is a 15 minute walk in the other direction. Kent's Cavern and Babbacombe are also within a 2 minute drive. There is an off-road space for one car. Please note: The Stables is a duplex apartment with a spiral staircase linking the two floors. A Z-bed is available for guests 14 and under, if you require a Z-bed, please call 01803 855282 and request when booking.

Torquay: The heart of the town is the harbour which is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants; a great place to watch the world go by. From here, take a pleasant stroll along the marina with the area’s trademark palm trees, or hop on a boat for a cruise across the bay or round to Dartmouth. The Living Coasts, The Princess Theatre and Pavilion shops are also located here. Torquay is rich in Victorian architecture and identity as the country’s first ‘resort’. Torquay is host to many more attractions, including Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern, Torquay Museum. Or take a trip back through time to Cockington Village where thatched roofs prevail and watch a blacksmith working in the 14th Century forge. Those looking for a beach will not be disappointed either. Torquay is the ‘sandcastle capital of the UK’ offering the ideal mix of sand and water, according to research conducted by Bournemouth University. In September South Devon hosts a walking festival with activities.
