The new furnishings reflect an “island” theme and ocean views provide the true Hawaiian ambiance for your vacation.
The condo is located away from the road noise and conveniently located close to the pool.
Kailua-Kona is the perfect vacation venue. Within 15 minutes of your condominium, you will find a variety of activities including championship golf courses, snorkeling, scuba, surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking, sunset cruises, whale watching, tennis, parasailing, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, shopping, restaurants, and even swimming with sea turtles.
Longer drives will take you to Kilauea Volcano, Mauna Kea Observatories, Waipio Valley, Akaka and Umauma Waterfalls, Dolphin Qwest, Botanical Gardens, Black and Green Sand Beaches, Waimea and Parker Ranch, Ancient Hawaiian Fishponds, Hawaiian Petroglyphs, Coffee Farms, Captain Cook Monument, and Historic Hilo town.

We live in Renton, Washington. We both recently retired and have been enjoying spending our time between Washington and Kailua-Kona. We have three wonderful successful children in their 30's and four grandchildren.

We fell in love with Kona. Alii Cove is a very well-managed complex with a great location for enjoying all Kona has to offer. The condo has lots of natural light with ocean breezes and a nice ocean view.
This well-outfitted and very well taken care of condo was perfect for five people. We were in Kona for research for the month of March so with two bedrooms and the loft upstairs plus a pull out sofa we were able to accommodate five people and allow each to sleep in their own bed and get a good night's rest.
It had everything we needed and were greeted with fresh flowers. The front facing lanai is perfect for relaxing sunsets and whale and dolphin watching. On our first morning we caught spinner dolphins spinning in the ocean right from our lanai!
The condo is extremely close to downtown, just a short walk to our favorite happy hour spot (Huggo's) and favorite restaurant (Island Lava Java, sign up online for $5 off and 10% off card). The pool and gym facilities were nice for when we needed a quick dunk or run. It is a very convenient location. The kitchen is well outfitted and was perfect for family dinners at night (plus it saves a lot of money!)
It is a quick drive down to Magic Sands Beach or Kahaluu Beach Park and convenient for points north (Airport, Honokohau Harbor) as well as points south (Kealakekua, Honaunau, etc.)
If that weren't enough the owners are extremely nice and very easy to deal with so I would highly recommend renting this property!
Shhh, let's just keep this a little secret between you and me, so I don't have to get into a long line the next time I want to come to Kona and stay here! This condo is ideally located within Alii Cove,which, after six visits, is my favorite place to stay on the Big Island. This unit is close to the pool and bbq area, but far enough from Alii Drive that there is no traffic noise. The view off the lanai is nothing short of breathtaking. I was impressed with how much thought the owners, Lorrie and Cherie, had given to making sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed for a relaxed, stress-free stay. It starts with keyless entry into an immaculate and beautifully appointed property and just goes on from there. We were provided with everything from beach chairs to a lunchbox to a great guide book of the Big Island. But when there is even ink replacement for the printer, you know the owners have really gone the extra mile. This was my first experience with VRBO, and it was wonderful from start to finish. But remember,it's our little secret...
The best experience we'e ever had renting a condo in the Kona area. Our hosts were gracious and the accommodations were comfortable, well maintained and clean, and convenient to everything we wanted to do. I would highly recommend.
