Fell In Love With It!
We recently stayed at the Little House for 10 nights for our wedding in Newport and we fell in love with it. We rented the house with our moms, 2 siblings and their spouses, and a nephew. We didn't have the studio rental and still had more than enough room to accommodate all of us. The house is old with beautiful details, but is very well-maintained and clean. It was especially nice to have 3 full bathrooms to share (all were nice and newer)- and the water pressure is good too. The dining room table was perfect for playing games and enjoying the view. The view from the house is absolutely amazing. It's nice and quiet there which was great and very relaxing during our trip. Many days/nights, we found ourselves just hanging out in the chairs outside the house and chatting while looking at the ocean. The kitchen is a bit small but we never had any issues as we cooked out a lot and usually only one or two people were in the kitchen at one time. It was nice to have laundry on property too. My husband and brother really loved the swimming cove and went in every day during our trip. It was also nice to just sit on the rocks and listen the waves hit the rocks. The house comes with everything you could need during your vacation-kitchen is stocked with all pots/pans/dishes, tons of beach and bath towels, board games, books, fans, several chairs outside and a picnic table, and sunscreen, bug spray.
The house is in a great location too. It's on a residential street that is great for evening walks. It's also a longer walk or very short drive to the Easton's Beach area and downtown Newport/Bellevue is probably a 5-10 minute drive. The house is also close to stores, movies etc. in Middletown. It's also a short walk from the house to the beach, which was really convenient.
The family that owns the house was incredibly nice and easy to work with. Jones was great about answering questions unrelated to the house/rental and was always quick to respond to emails/calls. My husband and I cannot wait to stay in the Little House again-maybe for our anniversary next year or for a big family trip one of these days. We had such a great experience there and made so many memories during our trip that we look forward to making the Little House part of our future together!
