Photos and Description of the Mochlos vacation villa rental Two Villas, both with 2 double rooms. Pool & hot tub. Tholos beach, East Crete.

It was the olive-covered slopes of Tholos Bay and the stunning stunning views of Tholos Beach, Psira Island and the mountains surrounding Kavousi, that we fell in love with nearly 10 years ago and so this breathtaking location is where we created Tholos Villas. We designed them specifically to allow the independence of two luxury villas albeit they must be rented as one combined. The villas are furnished to a high standard with all mod cons, TV/DVD, I-Pod docs, a hot tub, a 40sqm swimming pool and swim-trainer and a shaded barbeque area. They are within easy reach of the shops and tavernas of nearby Mochlos, Kavousi and Istron and within 30 minutes drive of the cities of Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra. The villas have two double bedrooms (linkable beds). There is also a double sofa bed in each sitting room, allowing for a maximum of 10 people. We believe your holiday should be totally stress free so let us know if you have any special requests and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

THOLOS BEACH: 500m from the villas is the stunning Tholos Beach. The far side of the bay is the best sand and has clear, shallow swimming with no current - ideal for children. There is also a simple taverna on the beach, serving a good variety of local foods and cold beers. KAVOUSI (3 mins): A delightful town with a range of tavernas and cafeneons and a wonderful bakery. It’s worth heading to the square for a relaxing beer and a bite to eat. Kavousi is also the starting point for some fantastic walks as well as boasting the oldest olive tree in Crete at nearly 2000 years old. MOCHLOS (10 mins): A beautiful fishing village where you can wander down to the waterfront and eat at a selection of quaint tavernas looking across the sea towards the archaeological island of Mochlos. You;ll find live music on Thursday and Sundays. AGIOS NIKOLAOS and IERAPETRA are both within 35 mins. These cosmopolitan cities have a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants and historical sites.

  • Beds are linkable and can therefore be 8 singles, 4 doubles or a mix of either. Please let us know your requirements before arrival. All bedrooms are air conditioned and have patio doors out onto the terrace to allow you to head straight out for a morning swim. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower cubical, WC and single wash basin. All bedrooms have large built in wardrobe and cupboard space, bedside tables and reading lights. Cot and other child accessories available on request. Double sofa bed in each of the 2 sitting rooms although for comfort, we would recommend this be used for one person only.

Pool is cleaned once a week so please remove excess suncreams to ensure it remains clean for you. * The pool is not swimable in low season although the hot tub is still available.

What an amazing location. You feel like you are in your own private haven and yet there are shops and a little beach taverna very close by. The views are stunning.

Both villas have been finished to a very high standard and the pool and hot tub are both wonderful. There is a lovely cooling breeze to stop you getting too hot by the pool.

The location is perfect for a group of friends or for a family. The set up of two small villas works particularly well and they are both well equipped.

A wonderful place to escape to for some sun.

What amazing villas, quiet location, minutes from a quiet beach and simply stunning views. The pool is fantastic with a brilliant swim trainer. The villas are brand new and built to a very high spec and superbly equipped.

Couldn't recommend these villas more highly.
