Aloha and E Komo Mai to the Bali House!
Aloha! We purchased the Bali House in 2007 which was originally built in 2005. We made the house open to our guest in 2012 after years of love and care. We made the house open to our guest in 2012 after years of love and care. We call the Big Island Home! As a to the Native to Hawaiian Islands, my husband and I fell in love with this area for it's remote beauty and to find a place to call home. You can really connect with the Aina and feel the Mana. We love Hosting Guests from all over the world. We have been in business for many years and loving every minute of it. We greet all our Guests and treat them like our own Ohana!
Mahalo again and we look forward to Hosting you:)
Iliahi purchased this house in 2007
We love the Puna Coast for it's remote beauty, green forest, rugged coast and deep pacific blue waters. We love the east side of the Big Island as we experience no Vog due to our constant trade-winds and experience less rainfall than in Hilo. Our area is also known for it's Sunny days and Rainy nights that it is why it is so green and lush. It is one of the most beautiful areas in the Hawaiian chain. This place holds so much History of the Hawaiian People and is sacred as well . This is Pele's Home! This area feels like old Hawaii, full of Beauty ,Tradition, friendly people and the Aloha Spirit truly Lives here!
Built in Bali Indonesia in the Phuket region. We started remodeling and adding many additions, plants, tree, flowers stone gates and bamboo fencing thru the years and added our other rental the Bali Cottage in 2009. Both the Bali House and Bali Cottage are totally separate homes that are gated and private from each other with their own garden, hot tubs, and only share the gated and covered carport and are 50 ft away from each other. It has a unique and Exotic design, it is like living in a Work of Art! The many details and handcrafted design and imported woods are throughout. It is the Perfect Getaway for Lovers young and old. We are Honored and Pleased to offer our Guest the Bali House and share with them the same experience we had while living in it.
Aloha and E Komo Mai!
There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how wonderful this stay has been for my husband and I..... This was our 1st anniversary together and WOW! What a perfect place to celebrate it. We will be back to re-visit. Iliahi, your kind and loving soul is what made this retreat truly feel like we were at home.
See you and Tim again someday.
Such a lovely vacation home. A unique and beautiful interior and design. The location is perfect if you just want a few days to kick back and relax from adventuring in Hawaii. Beach is a short walk across the street and down a rocky and steep path. Snorkeling tide pools are just a 25min drive away. There was a mix up with the booking company that created a significant inconvenience for us, but the owner of Bali House was very good about making it right, and compensating us generously for their mistake.
This beautiful property made for a perfect base during our stay in the Puna District of the Big Island. We loved our gorgeous surroundings, the peaceful decor, the morning sun streaming into the Bali House, and the fantastic rainfall shower.
We had fun swimming and suntanning at (clothing-optional) Kehena Beach, conveniently located right across the street, where we saw dolphins and whales everyday. We also enjoyed snorkelling at Kapoho Tide Pools, dipping into the naturally heated Alahanui Pool, the hike over the lava field at Kaimu Beach, visiting Kilauea Volcano, and star gazing at Mauna Kea.
Big thanks to Tim and Iliahi. We'd be happy to return to the Bali House and we highly recommend it to all others.
Magical & Beautiful! We could not imagine a better view or peaceful retreat. Thank you for the thoughtful layout and amenities.
This was our fist trip to Hawaii and as such we had many questions regarding our vacation. Initially, we hesitated directing our questions to Iliahi and Tim, as our inquiries had more to do with vacationing in Hawaii than vacationing at the Bali House. We eventually decided nothing ventured, nothing gained and emailed our questions. Iliahi and Tim immediately responded answering all of our questions and couldn't have been more forthcoming and gracious. They provided advice on purchasing groceries, local events, sights to see and even the type of vehicle to rent. Without exception, Iliahi and Tim always seemed most concerned that we enjoyed our Hawaiian vacation.
The Bali House comfortably accommodated our group of four. The kitchen is well appointed and we had no issues preparing our meals. The water view from the Bali House is absolutely spectacular! In fact, while having breakfast, we saw a humpback whale breach not far from the Kehena Beach shoreline. While snorkeling at Kehena Beach a pod of spinner dolphins came so close that we actually swam with them!
If you’re looking for comfortable accommodations located in the heart of the Big Island's natural beauty look no further!
We had the most amazing honeymoon here at the Bali House. We were warmly greeted by our host
when we arrived and were shown around the house, which had it all. The view is absolutely
breathtaking. We would try to show pictures and explain how amazing it is but there is no putting
it into words. It takes about 15 minutes from the town of Pahoa, for us it was a relaxing drive.
The Bali House was very clean and well taken care of! We loved the lush greenery and the Zen like feel
just going from the covered parking up to the house. The near constant trade winds keep reminding
you that you are in a Tropical Paradise with fresh air scented with Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Plumeria
and a lot more I can't remember, add to that the sounds of the surf and fresh air off the ocean!
No matter how long you decide to stay it seems like it goes too fast, it never seems long enough!
According to the locals, we were there during the rainiest and coolest time and it wasn't an issue at all.
It rained usually at night which made us fall asleep so easy with the sound of the raindrops
landing on the ironwood roof and the Coqui frogs. The house had snorkeling gear, beach chairs, beach towels, coolers,
and everything else we needed. We didn't do much cooking only because it was our honeymoon,
but the kitchen was fully equipped if we had chosen to do so. There was even a grill in the back Lanai.
We also loved the two person rainfall rock shower and the hot tub. FYI - you can't use your cell phone
but the WiFi allowed us to make WiFi calls & email who we needed to throughout the week and
the Bali House phone made local and Mainland US calls free. We loved snorkeling. We had an amazing time
on this trip! We couldn't have had a more relaxing honeymoon. We loved being here in Kehena on the Big
Island of Hawaii because we were still able to meet locals and other travelers but it was more low key
with a better view and breeze. We didn't mind driving to Hilo (about 45mins). We appreciated all the
help from Ili & Tim and all the excellent advice from all the kind and helpful locals we met while on
that side of the Island! We cannot wait to make a trip back and stay with you again!
Ili and Tim have created an exquisite and luxurious hideaway in Kehena Beach. The architecture with the open floor plan, the woodwork, the decor--all gorgeous. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we used it quite a lot as we didn't want to be away from the house too long. The hot tub and hammock were so relaxing. Our two absolute favorite elements were the private lanai off the master bedroom where we would enjoy wine at night while listening to the waves or reading a book in the morning, and that giant stone shower with the overhead showerhead. We took so many showers! Great proximity to wild Kehena Beach, with its savage splendor, and the town of Pahoa, which we visited every afternoon or evening--Kaleo's is our fave place to eat--staff and food are top-notch--and Boogie Woogie Pizza was also delicious and perfect for a night spent at home listening to the ocean waves and coqui frogs.
Bali House is a jewel, and we'll be back.
Aloha and Mahalo!
Only 200 ft and less than a mile walk to Kehena Black Sand Beach. See the most Active Volcano in the world, Kilauea, see the old Lava from Kalapana only 2 miles away. 8 miles to Pahoa town, hot ponds and Kapoho tide pools. Close to Kalani and Ramashala for Yoga.
