We live in Walnut Creek, CA, and love to spend time in the beautiful unspoiled Alexander Valley. Geyserville is small enough to still be in the country, but close to many attractive destinations.
Dick & Lynne Hildebrand purchased this house in 1998
We wanted a place that was easy to get to and would provide us with a quiet retreat. Geyserville was a great choice.
Beautiful surroundings, great restaurants, quaint town, close to many outstanding wineries.
I cannot say enough about this perfect house and cottage! My husband and I along with two other couples stayed there for our first anniversary weekend and wine tasting. We had a fabulous time and the house was perfectly appointed! I needed to reach Dick while we were down there and he was super fast to respond to all my e-mails which I appreciate very much! We will definitely be back and are talking about making this an annual event and we would definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay at Dick and Lynne's comfortable home, which was near everything and yet quiet and full of small town charm. The photos don't do justice to the homey comfort of the property...everything was comfortable, clean and convenient. We cooked in the first night, finding the kitchen nicely equipped and enjoyed our dining experience in the sweet back yard, softly lit with bistro lights. Saturday was filled with winery visits, all very convenient to the house, followed by dinner at Diavola's, just a two block stroll to town. We really enjoyed spending lots of time on the porch and there was plenty of seating for the six of us. Our stay here far exceeded any hotel stay we could have arranged...we loved being part of this little neighborhood, if only for a week end! Lynne and Dick were easy to work with and we'll definitely be back!
We traveled from Iowa for our son's wedding @ Sbragia over the weekend & we rented this house for our family. It was absolutely perfect! Everything we needed was there, the beds were comfortable, it was decorated very cute & location was outstanding. With the tall ceilings, many ceiling fans & big windows the house stayed cool even with the hot days. The cottage in the back was darling & a perfect spot for us to escape to.
We had a great time here. The place definitely exceeded our expectations. Pictures do not describe how nice and homey this place is. Good sized living room with nice big couch. Plenty of chairs and big table in kitchen. Kitchen has everything you need for breakfast, coffee, etc. Wifi internet works great. Very peaceful street yet just a couple blocks from main street, cafe, restaurant in Geyserville. Two bedrooms in main house and cottage out back with full bath. Great setup for 6 people!
Beautiful house, beautiful yard in a charming little town!
Our family recently rented this beautiful home to attend our nephews wedding @ the Trenadue Winery as an alternative to hotel lodging. I must say this home and it's furnishings were welcoming and extremely comfortable. Enjoying our morning coffee on the front porch watching the sunrise was such a treat. The yards were very well maintained with a wide variety of plants and trees. The location was just a short drive south to Healdsburg but walking distance to the heart of Geyserville. The only draw back was the lack of A/C but with that said the weekend we were there the temps were unusually high. The nights cooled off considerably with a welcoming cool breeze. We will be keeping this home on our go to list for lodging for our next trip to the Wine Country. Dick and Lynn were very friendly and have made their home a comfortable place to stay.
Walk to downtown Geyservile, Mud's Coffee, Diavola Pizza, Catelli's Restaurant, wine tasting, antique stores, Bosworth's general Store. Walk to Russian River, extensive vineyards nearby.
