Exceptional Property!

We rented this house when our daughter decided she wanted to do college visits in Spokane. We travelled there from Colorado, and our extended family from Montana met us there. None of us knew Spokane well, and this was our first time using VRBO. It was a fantastic experience!
We were a group of teens, grandparents, and middle age parents. Everyone was happy with our living arrangements and the location of this house. Grandparents slept in the quiet basement room with its own bathroom and TV; kids went to the attic; remaining adults slept in the two main floor masters. One night the kids all bunked out in the basement rec room to watch movies, while my husband worked in the office that featured French doors to keep it quiet. We enjoyed dinners on the secluded back deck and soaking in the afternoon sunshine on the front porch. Neighbors were very cordial and even offered to let our kids use their basketball hoop.
The house is located two blocks from a cute ice cream and sandwich shop, 5 or 6 blocks from beautiful Manito Park where we threw the football around and took long walks, and 4 blocks from a municipal park that had tennis courts and a playground for the kids. The surrounding neighborhood of South Hill is the definition of "quaint". . .well groomed yards and friendly folks. Downtown Spokane is only a couple of miles away, and there we enjoyed exploring RiverFront Park, the restored Davenport Hotel, and RiverFront Mall.
Finally, this house was spotless -- and that is by standards of my very fussy German mother who joined us -- and well stocked. We felt very much at home away from home, and we hope to return many times in the future if our daughter chooses to attend college in Spokane. Thank you, Sherri!
