Spacious classic San Francisco home with high ceilings, spiral staircase, and plenty of light. At the base of the Pacific Heights neighborhood, you are within walking distance of the Marina district, with its shops, restaurants, waterfront views of the Golden Gate Bridge and sailboats from Crissy Field.
It's a quick drive over the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County's town of Sausalito, fine dining, and hiking at Muir Woods.
And of course, it's a quick trip to the downtown San Francisco for shows, shopping, sightseeing, and special events.
Enjoy Golden Gate Park - De Young Museum, Academy of Science, Palace of Fine Arts, Legion of Honor, Japanese Tea Garden, Paddle Boats, Presidio Golf Course (1 mile from house), Disney Museum,
I'am a 5th generation San Francisco native who has renovated and restored this classic SF Victorian Home to it's original glory. Pictures do not do justice it was built in 1875 and is one of the first homes in the Marina/Cow Hollow district. Come and enjoy it's the best!
George purchased this house in 2012
I really love this home. It's just a great combination of San francisco History blended, built in 1875, with the San Francisco of today. The photo is from the Marina which is a short walk from Scott Street. All that come here enjoy the location and history that this property has to offer.
Location, safety, views, great restaurants nightlife and shopping. Reviews by travelers confirm all of this.
The location and the layout of the house were just perfect for our needs. After four days we had difficulty pulling ourselves away. Our family enjoyed every aspect of the layout. The kitchen was well equipped, with all utensils and all condiments provided. Thanks to perfect weather we were able to spend hours outside in the privacy of the garden. We would rent this place again in a heartbeat!
We couldn't have asked for a nicer home to celebrate the Thanksgiving week in San Francisco. We have spent the holidays together for more than 20 years and this was the best! Your home was welcoming, spacious and located in a perfect area of the city for visiting the area. We hope to come back! Thank you for your hospitality and Merry Christmas to you. Perhaps we will meet again in 2015!
Spacious and nicely renovated home in Cow Hollow/Marina district. Great beds and amenities. Nice patio and garden. Easy walking distance to restaraunts, Presidio, and the bay. Great for large family or multiple couples. Would definitely stay there again -- I've already shared the link with a number of friends planning future SF trips.
This residence was the perfect location for our family while visiting San Francisco for a family wedding. The house is quite wonderful and full of character. Comfortable beds, lots of fluffy bath towels, a well equipped kitchen, plenty of room to move about with great high ceilings and a nice outdoor patio to enjoy the sunshine. Walking distance to anything and everything you would need only a few blocks away in one of the best neighborhoods. Easy walk to busses too. With our cars, we had no problems finding additional parking within a block or 2 of the house and we had the spot out front. The owner, George, was the best to work with. Kind, considerate and accommodating. This has been one of our best rental experiences.
The house was not the best house we have ever rented with VRBO but was I would say it was shabbily chic comfortable. Mattress in back bedroom should be replaced and dining table while functional was very distressed/scratched. On the other hand the house was clean, and big enough for 7 people and in a very good area of San Francisco for shopping and restaurants. You definitely need to rent a car and you can park out front. Probably should be updated with new carpeting, paint, etc. All in all we had a great time and our grandsons 6 and 10 years old loved the city sights and the country side as well. Owner was easy to deal with and answered our questions promptly.
Beautiful house in a great location. Had a wonderful gathering to celebrate our sons graduation from college. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms and the owner George was very helpful. Will definitely stay here again if it's available
The home is located just a few blocks from the lovely Marina district, with is charming shops and restaurants and incredible views of the Golden Gate views. The Disney Museum is a short walk as well. The Americas Cup is coming and this a perfect location to stay to enjoy that as well!
