We just returned home from our stay and I have to say it was such a nice trip! The pictures truly don't do this property justice for how beautiful it is. The property is a little hidden gem! The owner lives on site across the pond but gives you complete privacy and he made sure to check that our stay was going great. The view from the back porch was like no other. So relaxing! Cabin is also equipped with anything you would need for your stay. We will be back in the future to stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality! :)
I stayed for 6 weeks in this wonderful little cabin and enjoyed it immensely. Throughout my time there I did not see any roaches. Not sure what the reviewer before me saw. Yes, there were a couple bugs but it is a cabin in the woods! There are bugs in the woods. Sometimes they make there way indoors. The inside of the cabin was very clean and well maintained.
The furniture and beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen is quite small but efficient. The 2 decks were nice spots to sit out and relax. The back deck looks into the woods while the front deck looks towards a small pond with a nice array of ducks and geese meandering about. Fishing was good in the pond that has been stocked with bass and brim. Overall, it was a great place to relax and enjoy nature.
The owner was very pleasant and always responded if I needed anything. I hope to get a chance to stay here again.
Our stay was good and the cabin was nice. All of the things listed on the website were right on, including all pictures. The stay would have been perfect if it wasn't for the cockroaches. I am not a fan of bugs, but I am a camper so I know we have to co-exist; however, cockroaches are a different story. I didn't sleep very good for fear they were crawling on me and I had to clean out all bags completely and repack in order to make sure I wasn't bringing them home or to my next location on my trip.
My husband and I spent a week at the cabin and every much enjoyed the quiet time. We did bass fishing at Kentucky Lake. This was the cleanest and best place we have found in this area. The owner made sure we had what we needed. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing get away
My husband and I just spent the weekend at this cabin and loved just getting away from it all. The cabin was very clean and the description is correct. Not hard to find. The ducks and geese were beautiful and we loved the sweet dog that resides on the property. The owner came by to make sure everything was ok and we appreciated the personal contact. The only thing that surprised us was the town of Camden. From the pictures, we thought it was a VERY small town, but found out that's not the case. There is a Wal Mart, McDonalds, other fast food places and more than one gas station. We ate at the Catfish Restaurant and loved it! Way too much food and the price was great. We also didn't realize till we drove around that within two miles is the only fresh water pearl farm in the United States there! We watched a video in the museum and came home with a pair of pearl earrings! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway.
Everything which was listed on the owners web site was complete and accurate, very clean and excellent maintained owners were very friendly and hospitable . Owner's answered all my questions prior to arrival date, Restaurants and attractions in commuting distance and I would definitely highly recommend this property to anyone that needs to getaway, relax, and, de-stress from the worries and cares of life !
