Photos and Description of the Central Istria vacation cottage rental 1 bedroom house, to sleep 4 using the sleeping couch in the living room

This historic stone house has a small garden with a mature olive tree, plus parking space for 2 cars. In front of the entrance is an attractive terrace with many flowers. On the ground floor is a cosy but large living room / kitchen. On the first floor is a modern bathroom with a shower, and a double bedroom. The house is very quiet, with little passing traffic. The bedroom has air-conditioning, which can be changed in cooler weather to a heating system. The living room has a large flat-screen TV, with a satellite dish. There is an open wood-burning fireplace. Two bicycles and sun-loungers are at the disposal of guests. During the summer our terrace is home to two swallows and their offspring.

Radetici is located in the centre of Istria at a height of 266m and is some 17km from the sea. There are fine views to the sea from the house. It is a typical Croatian village, where every family has their own fruit and vegetable patch, and their own wine. In contrast to many other villages, Radetici has a growing population. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful, but speak only Croatian and Italian (not all). The most important cities of Istria, namely Pula, Porec, Rovinj, and Pazin, are each about 25-30 mins away by car. Even Trieste in Italy is only 83km away. There is a wide choice of swimming places along the coast, ranging from the family-friendly to naturist. The area is popular with cyclists and there are a number of well-marked cycle routes. The nearby town of Sveti Lovrec, about 7 km distance, has post office, cash machine, and a range of shops. The nearest larger supermarkets are found in Porec and Vsar.
