About Karen Key Speck

My family saw this property by boat over a hundred years ago and became an original settler on Orcas Island homesteading about 150 acres in total.

Why Karen Key Speck chose Olga

There were five children who each inherited property.

My son and I bought this particular piece of land from my brother. We built a new cottage, but retained the rural spirit of the beautiful land, beach and views.

What makes this cottage unique

The end of the road privacy is a special commodity in this busy, hectic world. At our beautiful cottage you can walk the beach, play in the field, sun on the deck, or relax inside with a good book. We invite you to see what our family discovered over 122 years ago. You can even visit the local museum and learn about our homesteading forefathers.
