• It’s just 4 miles to the BLUE SPRING STATE PARK which covers more than 2,600 acres and has the largest spring on the on the beautiful and historic ST. JOHN'S RIVER. BLUE SPRING is a designated MANATEE REFUGE and the winter home to a large population of West Indian Manatees. The spring´s crystal clear, 73 degree water can be enjoyed by swimmers, tubing, snorkelers, and scuba divers. Canoes, kayaks, and tubes can be rented at the park. See alligators, abundant birds and wildlife on the ST. JOHN'S RIVER CRUISE, the most popular nature tour in Florida. The narrated cruise is conducted daily from the Blue Spring State Park. The river is popular for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and boating.

NEW SMYRNA BEACH DOG BEACH – SMYRNA DUNES PARK (31 miles). This is a dog-friendly portion of New Smyrna Beach, at the northern tip of the barrier island. PONCE INLET DOG BEACH (35 miles). Where leashed dogs are welcome and even scented clean-up bags are provided.
• It’s less than 20 minutes to the lush tropical world of the CENTRAL FLORIDA ZOO AND BOTANICAL GARDENS. Besides seeing over 400 animals, you can take to the sky and enjoy the aerial adventure course ZOOm AIR ADVENTURE PARK that will allow you to explore the tree tops from an animal’s perspective. Families can “ZOOm” from tree to tree using rope bridges, zip lines, suspended discs and a variety of unique systems for this exciting addition to the Zoo.
• Visit the DE LEON SPRINGS STATE PARK. A short 25 minute drive, this large spring is a natural wonder and was once touted as a “fountain of youth”. The swimming area is adjacent to a beautiful, shady picnic ground. Canoe, kayak and paddleboat rentals are available for a paddling tour of the spring and spring run. DE LEON SPRINGS flows into the LAKE WOODRUFF NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE where canoeists and kayakers can explore 18,000 acres of lakes, creeks and marshes. Overlooking the spring is the OLD SPANISH SUGAR MILL RESTAURANT. The specialty, grill-your-own pancakes, are made from grain stone-ground on site with French buhr millstones.
• The OCALA NATIONAL FOREST is 12 miles away and is located between the OCKLAWAHA and ST. JOHN'S RIVERS. Encompassing 383,000 acres, it has trails for hiking, biking, ATV, motorcycle, horse riding, and 4WD. With more than 600 lakes, rivers, and springs and 14 campgrounds, visitors can canoe, kayak, swim, snorkel, dive, and camp year-round.
• While in Central Florida it’s always fun to visit ST. AUGUSTINE, America’s oldest city, where history comes alive in red-brick lanes leading to centuries-old churches, in forts where soldiers still walk the grounds, and on horse-drawn carriage rides through time. Or visit MARINELAND DOLPHIN ADVENTURE on the pristine Atlantic coastline, where you can enjoy dolphins up-close or even immerse yourself in the dolphins’ aquatic world as you swim with the gentle residents.

When renting the DOVE House, you check in and receive your key codes before you leave home! You don’t have to waste time trying to find a property management office first, just go straight to the house, and begin enjoying your vacation!
Here’s how it works:
• 1. We will confirm the dates you requested, along with the total rate for your stay.
• 2. Reserve your dates with the Damage/Reservation Deposit. Remember, this deposit is fully refundable after check out, pending no damage to the unit. Deposit can be made instantaneously online.
• 3. Once deposit is received, your dates are locked in. We send you the rental contract.
• 4. The signed rental contract, along with your final balance is due 30 days before check in.
• 5. Once final balance is received, we send you a final confirmation letter, along with directions and key codes.
• 6. On your arrival day, drive straight to the DOVE house and enjoy your vacation!!
