Beachfront!!! cozy, 2 bedroom 1 bath upstairs cottage, 1/2 block from John's Pass. Huge covered, 400 sq. ft. balcony with awesome views of Gulf of Mexico. Bright, beachy decor adds to it's overall ambiance. Restaurants, shops, parasailing, wave runners, deep sea fishing charters, dolphin watching cruises & so much more are all accessible within a short walk , at John's Pass, the go-to tourist destination! The location can not be more convenient- and best of all, the gorgeous white sandy gulf beach is right out your door. You also have the option of leaving your car parked at home and ride the Trolley to beach destinations from north Clearwater all the way south to Pass-a-grille. A flat day fare of $4.50 or weekly fare of $20. allows you to ride from early morning (starts at 5:05am) til late at night (10:10pm, midnight on Sat. & Sun.), getting on and off as many times as you'd like.
If you care to venture out by car, downtown St. Pete with its' fantastic museums (Dali, Chihuly, etc.), performing arts theatres, Tropicana Field (home of the Tampa Bay Rays) the Vinoy, chic boutiques, awesome restaurants and beautiful Beach Drive are a mere 15 min. drive. Tampa Airport, International Mall, Raymaond James Stadium (home of the Buccaneers), St. Pete Times Forum (Tampa Bay Lightning home), Hard Rock Casino, the Aquarium, Lowry Park Zoo, historic Ybor City, and world nenowned Bern's Steak House are a short 30-45 min. drive. And last, but not least Disney World is 1 1/2- 2 hours close! Folks, it doesn't get any better than this!!! Downstairs (2/1) unit is also available.
My wife, college son, and me stayed at the John's Pass Cottage for three weeks. It was wonderful. The property was right on the beach. It was equipped with everything a vacationer would need including a washer and dryer. The property is located near all the night life; but is on a very quiet road. The site pictures do not do justice. The cottage has much more room than appears. Pat the property owner is very helpful. She truly wants your vacation to be perfect.
I really enjoyed my week long stay at this lovely beachfront home. It was neat, clean, and just decorated adorable! Everything you needed was there plus the location was great! Walking distance to John's Pass Boardwalk restaurants, bars, stores - couldn't be happier. Also close to St. Pete's beach and other areas too. Patricia the owner was very nice and helpful with suggestions. I will miss the quiet, relaxing week on the beach. Don't miss Ricky T's for the best breakfast and V.I.P. for the Best Mexican wet burrito ever!! Both in Treasure Island just over the bridge! This home was very cozy and I felt like a new person when I left!
My husband, our two small dogs and our best friends rented the downstairs property for one week. I must say that Pat, her husband and daughter are some of the nicest people we have ever met! The property is so very awesome and looks identical to the photos shown! We were able to walk in, put our luggage down, and head for John's Pass on foot! We had such a great time at John's Pass - found the food, entertainment and shops well above average!! Our two little girls (maltese and Pom-a-poo) were photographed more than the dolphins!! They were well behaved girls riding in their stroller (not a bit spoiled)!! My best friend and I were able to walk on the beach every morning when we awoke. We grilled out when we didn't dine at John's Pass. The home is stocked with everything you need. The front porch facing the beach, was by far our favorite spot! My husband sang and played his guitar for us. We were all extremely pleased when we felt the great water pressure when showering (better than mine at home). The towels were plush and they had my husbands favorite soap there! The entire place is very clean, updated and well kept. I want to thank Pat for EVERYTHING and can't wait to go back! My only negative comment is, "I wish we could have stayed a lot longer!"
Cottage is cute and very clean. The upper unit has porch ovelooking the Gulf and it so nice. Seemed like a breeze was always keeping us cool. The cottage is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We didn't have time to explore all the surrounding area, but had excellent outings at Fort DeSoto Park and Tarpon Springs. Can't wait to visit again. The owner, Patricia, did excellent work when she prepared this cottage for renters.
Had such a good time here! The cottage is cozy, clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with anything you might need. Very nice outdoor area! The owner is easy to talk to and very willing to help make your stay even better! John's Pass is right across the street. But the best thing is being able to walk out on your deck every day and see the ocean! Wish we could have reserved our stay for next year, but reservations had already been booked by someone else!
We spent 4 months at this Madeira Beach cottage. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about the property and the owners. We were so very sad to leave. The house is VERY clean, well equipped and has an amazing view of the gulf. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were home !!! Can hardly wait to come back next winter.
Local restaurants, shopping and beach activities (parasail, jetski rentals, etc.) abound with in a short walk. 20 minutes to downtown St. Pete, theaters & museums. 30-45 min. to Tampa Airport, Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, Aquarium, Hard Rock Casino, historic Ybor City (& Cloumbia Restaurant) and world famous Bern's Steakhouse. 1 1/2 hr. to Disney World. Absolutely, AWESOME location!!!
