Photos and Description of the Indian Wells vacation house rental

Lovely home in Indian Wells that we are renting for well under market rate in exchange for cat sitting our two cats. We are seeking a 2 to 3 month minimum stay during the winter start anytime in November thru beginning of March. PLEASE NOTE: Since we have two cats, we cannot accept any dogs in the home. Sorry.

Built in a mid-century modern style, our home has a combined living room, kitchen and dining room all brightly lit by wall to wall glass windows and doors. The home is in a compound with 20 other homes and includes a shared pool, basketball court, volleyball court and privacy. Our home is at the top of the compound and has an excellent view of the football size shared yard/pool and the mountains beyond. The outdoor patio extends the full length of the house and has two outdoor fans. Indian Wells is 25 minutes from Palm Springs and 5 minutes from Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert and there's a ton of amenities, such as shopping and dining all within a 5 minute drive.

My Japanese wife and I live in Tokyo in the winter and so we are offering a well-below market monthly rate in exchange for taking care of our two cats, Shiro (Whitey) and Kuro (Blacky) while we are in Japan.

1. 40 Inch LCD HDTV

2. Wi-fi Internet Access

3. 3 bedrooms (one with its own bath, the others a shared bath)

4. 2 full bathrooms

5. Large kitchen island/sink with view of yard when cooking

6. Huge Private patio

7. Washer, Dryer, central A/C and Heating

8. Lemon Tree on property (help yourself)

9. Very quiet

HOUSE RULES

No large groups or parties. No loud music. No glass at the pool area (cans and plastic cups only please).

I am a Software consultant and my Japanese wife and I live part time in Indian Wells,California and Tokyo,Japan. We travel in Southeast Asia to places like Cambodia, Thailand, Bali, Korea or anywhere we can find to enjoy new experiences. We also travel to South America when in the US and enjoy Peru a lot.

Why Rick Wallenbrock chose Indian Wells

My parents owned this home for many years and it was like a second home for me. My wife and I spend winters in Tokyo and we love coming back to the peace and quiet of the desert in the summer (yes we like the heat!)

What makes this house unique

When I bought it, my Japanese wife and I loved the Mid-Century Modern style and tried to fix it up to recreate more of that style that is a hall mark of the Palm Springs area (Indian Wells is just 25 minutes from Palm Springs).
