Nice house but disappointed.......

When we arrived to the cabin it was nice.. a little farther then I thought it would be from the park way. The house was a perfect fit for my family just enough beds and big enough to where we were not on top of each other. But it had a few things wrong. The electric was out in the master bedroom all besides the light on ceiling the the tv. We couldn't use the deck once it was dark due to no lights out there (an we had such great weather at that). The electric fire place in living room didn't work(for when it did cool off at nights). And the hot tub kept tripping the electric and of course on the main night we were there the hot tub wouldn't work. I understand having some issues but it made it hard to enjoy the cabin when you get there and all this is wrong and you are only there for a 3 day stay. When I called the owners they seem to know about some of the issues and didn't even leave a note to let us know. They did send out an electrician on sunday afternoon but of course we were leaving monday morning. I can't say I would stay here again but I am sure I would of loved to if everything went right for us. But the cabin it self is lovely and the area is great. Hope the next renter has a better experience then we did.

Owner's Response: First, I appreciate the chance to respond to this review. But I feel you made it sound like we were not quick to respond to your issue. This simply is not the case. This home sits just a little over 3 miles off the Parkway. It is literally above Dollywood. When the owner went over to the house to check the home, rake leaves and balance the working hot tub just hours before the guest arrived on FRIDAY, he noticed the light was out in the MASTER BEDROOM WALK IN CLOSET and knew of only ONE OUTLET out next to bed on the same wall. He did not leave a note (he should have, I agree). When this guest called us SATURDAY mid day he let us know that more than one plug was out in the Master Bedroom. I had already talked to the Electrician that morning and he said he would go over to the house that day. I asked the guest more than once, may we send the electrician over. He said NO. At around 9 PM, he called again saying the Hot Tub had tripped the breaker and the GAS fireplace in the living room would not turn on. We insisted that the electrician come over. We called the electrician while on the line with the guest, THE GUEST TOLD US WHEN he could come over on Sunday. Remember, we would have had him there on Saturday had we been allowed too. The electrician did find the source of the issue in a plug that affected all plugs in the line and replaced that. There was nothing wrong with the hot tub as he reported the guest did not reset the breaker correctly. The pilot to the GAS fireplace had simply blown out. This service call was completed as soon as we were allowed to do so.
We pride ourselves on quick action and fair resolution to any issue. This is not the only home I rent and I have been renting to the vacation market since 1995.
Homes have issues from time to time. We cannot predict the time or the hour but we can certainly be there to help if needed. This guest knows we responded as quickly as we were allowed to do. Please see for yourself by staying with us. This home is large, has a great location and is offered at a very affordable price and I am sure this guest had a great time while staying here.
