The roads through St Jeannet are narrow and the Rue de Baou leading up to the villa is steep and not suitable for the walking-impaired.
St Jeannet is a calm, old village, most inhabitants are French, tourists are rather few and there is no through traffic. It has bars, restaurants, bakeries and butcheries (with their stock of vegetables exhibited outside on the narrow street). There is limited traffic, children can walk and play safely and people are nice and friendly.
Rue de Baou ends at the house. Here starts the path to the lovely mountains north of St Jeannet. They are uninhabited; one can walk for hours on marked paths meeting perhaps only a shepherd with his sheep.
To the south of the village one finds the busy and crowded Cote D’Azur with its numerous attractions, beaches, museums, restaurants etc.
