This second floor apartment is 500m from the beach and has 2 bedrooms, a lounge/dining room with Spanish cable and digital tv, bathroom with shower, washing machine, a fully fitted kitchen, a larger than average terrace with spectacular views towards Cadiz and the famous old fishing village of Sancti Petri, a residential swimming pool, and off-street parking. You are only a short walk to a bar, restaurants and cafe, and a 3 minute drive to the main amenities at La Barrosa where there are a lot more places to eat and drink, as well as a bank and commercial centre.

This apartment is ideally situated for all sorts of activities, whether you wish to swim in the sea and lie on the blue flag beaches nearby, lounge by the pool, visit the historic sites of Cadiz, go fishing or enjoy water sports at Sancti Petri. For bird watching enthusiasts there is also the beautiful salt marshes (Salines de Chiclana) at Sancti Petri where you can see many different species, including flamingos, from purpose built viewing stations, and you can also take a ferry to the protected habitat of Donana National Park. You can have a day trip to the beautiful cities of Jerez and Seville, visit the pueblos blancos including Vejer de la Frontera and Arcos de la Frontera, or travel down to Tarifa and Algeciras and take the ferry across to Morrocco. The beautiful coastline in this part of the Costa de la Luz boasts stunning beaches and you can choose a different one every day if you wish, including Sancti Petri, La Barrosa, Roche, Conil, El Palmar, Trafalgar and Tarifa.

  • The Master Bedroom has wonderful views across to Cadiz and Chiclana. There is a double bed, chest of drawers as well as two bedside cabinets and a good sized built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom looks out over the communal pool. There are two single beds, a bedside cabinet and a large built-in wardrobe. Good quality linen and towels are provided for both rooms. A hair dryer is also available.

Notes: The lounge has a sofa, separate armchairs and a coffee table. Alongside is a dining table and 4 chairs with a good selection of table linen. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a good number of plates, crockery and utensils, a washing machine, fridge freezer as well as a coffee machine, toaster, kettle and food mixer. The large wide balcony has a table and chairs for al fresco dining and beach chairs to enjoy the stunning views towards Sancti Petri beach and the towns of Cadiz and Chiclana. There is also a clothes line for drying as well as an airer. There are fans in the bedrooms as well as in the lounge for the hotter months and the apartment does benefit from cooling breezes. Outside there are a lot of parking spaces and the supervised pool is at the bottom of the stairs to the apartment.

The Costa de la Luz has abundance of blue flag sandy beaches a short distance away. The historic fishing village of Sancti Petri has water sport facilities and fishing, Tarifa is a mecca for wind-surfing enthusiasts and at Bolonia beach there are Roman ruins in excellent condition (free to EU passport holders). You can take a Bodega Sherry tour, go on a ferry across the Straits to Morocco, see the famous Jerez dancing horses, take a boat trip into the peaceful surroundings of Donana National Park, go whale watching from Tarifa or take the cable car up the Rock at Gibraltar and enjoy duty free shopping.

La Barrosa beach is 8km long and has an abundance of fine white sand and clear blue water. There is the popular urbanised promenade area with cafes and restaurants as well as the more natural parts with sand dunes. The sea food is excellent and the area is very popular with the Spanish who travel down in the summer from the cities to cool off. It is only 500 metres to the beach where you can swim, lie on the sand, enjoy the rock pools searching for crabs and fish or take a walk towards the old fishing village of Sancti Petri and relax in the bars, restaurants and cafes.

La Barrosa is a popular Spanish holiday resort located in the Cadiz province of the Costa de la Luz, Spain. It is a beach resort with a chilled-out atmosphere in the winter and a great buzz in the summer when all the Spaniards come down from mainland Spain. The resort is located near the southern-most tip of Spain facing the Atlantic Ocean so the lovely breeze in the summer time takes the edge of the heat. The resort has strict building regulations like the rest of the Costa de la Luz coast-line and there are no buildings above 3 stories. There are shops, restaurants, bars and cafes along La Barrosa main street and also part of the beach front. There are three supermarkets a short drive away and Novo Sancti Petri has a good-sized commercial centre. There are a number of airports in the area to fly to. Jerez 48 kms. Sevilla 139 kms. Gibraltar 150 kms. Malaga 265 kms.
