This third floor 1 bedroom, 1 bath suite on the South side of the Hokulani tower has both ocean views toward the island of Lanai as well as West Maui mountain views. There many world class amenities at this property with three large pools with water falls, water slide, and lazy river pool to name a few. There are two places to eat on this property one of them is located in the Hokulani and is the Aina Gourmet Cafe, and the other is Duke's Beach House Restaurant. Both are open all day. This is the newest condo-tel on Kaanapali in over 25 years, and being on the North end of Kaanapali Beach affords you easy access to Times Supermarket across the street from the Konea tower and the property itself. There is incredible snorkeling when there are no waves and when there are waves you have great body boarding as well as surfing right in front of the Honua Kai Resort. Also one of the great new features to the North Kaanapali Beach area is the board walk which goes from the park next to this property (Honoapiilani Park) to the South for great walks in the mornings or at sunset. This suite also has a large lanai where you will enjoy morning breakfast as well as all meals with a large lanai table for 4 people and an occasional chair to enjoy reading on your private and quiet lanai. If you are looking for a great property at a competitive rate then look no further than this beautiful suite 308 Hokulani tower. So come and relax and enjoy peaceful days or nights in this incredible suite as there is no wind on the South side of the Hokulani tower. This unit meet all our expectations from the outstanding facilities at the Honua Kia to the 5 star apartment. This truely is a outsatnding place to base yourself in Maui with the added security of being able to check in and out at the front desk.

Family fun on the best beach in Mauii

The Honua Kai is a clean family friendly resort with its pool, waterside and lazy rivers. Having Kaanapali beach as your own personal beach is great. We were able to boogie board, snorkel, standup paddle board and watch the amazing sunsets a few steps from our resort. The unit was very clean and modern and satisfied all our needs. Having a dishwasher, coffee maker and washer and dryer were essential to us! Duke's is a beautiful restaurant with great Macadamia nut pancakes and most evenings we got football games going with other families on the expansive lawn on the property with the ambiance of live music from Duke's and tiki torches everywhere. I love the quieter north end of Kaanapali as well as the beach path that connects you to all the other resorts on the beach. It is a great run to Black Rock. The staff were very helpful and their presentation in the Maui room on activities to do in Maui for first timers was very valuable. I hope we can visit again soon!

Great getaway

Love the building and love this condo as well. Its fine as long as they don't start construction on the lot next door.

Why do people with kids let them run around and disrupt others. There is a kids pool but people let their kids swim everywhere. There is a quiet pool and that's where we hung out.

Great location on the island, close enough to everything for what I want.

Beautiful property

Honua Kai in Maui was very clean & a beautifully kept property inside & out. We rented a one bedroom for the two of us & even though the unit was rather small it was certainly adequate for us. There isn't enough storage for more than two adults in a one bed room though & no storage except on the counters for food items.

Our daughter, son in law & small child were very cramped for space in their one bed room unit & the next time staying there would definitely get a larger unit.

The swimming pools are mostly 3 & maybe 4 ft. in depth at most which was difficult for lap swimming or doing water aerobics.

No internet in lobby or café, only in room.

The employees were all polite, friendly & helpful.

Very nice condo!

We were in Maui for our daughter's wedding and stayed the first part of our trip at the resort hotel where the wedding party was staying and then moved to Honua Kai for the last 6 nights of our trip. It was very nice to have a one bedroom and all the luxurious amenities that the unit provides. It is a beautiful condo with pretty and comfortable furnishings. The only negatives are that the bedroom did not have a dresser to unpack comfortably and the bathroom only had a narrow shelf under the sink area and also the countertop to store your items. The lanai is very large and you get both the ocean and mountain views. There are wall to wall glass doors that open up completely. It overlooks a stalled construction site so you don't have a building blocking the view and it's very quiet. The location of the unit near the elevator was very convenient for quickly getting down to the parking garage or to the pool area and beach. Also the resort restaurant - Duke's - is very good! Some other restaurants we'd recommend are Mama's Fish House (very pricey but excellent and you need reservations), Leoda's Kitchen & Pie Shop, Iron Imu BBQ Co., Bubba Gumps, Paia Fish Market, Star Noodle, Teddy's Bigger Burgers, Sangrita's, Lahaina Coolers. Even if you don't eat at Mama's Fish House, it is worth driving there for the spectacular scenery. There are several beach only parking spots in their parking lot and the view from there is stunning. Definitely recommend the road to Hana and the Nakalele Blowhole is awesome. The Old Lahaina Luau is very enjoyable and has delicious food. We really enjoyed the condo and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui.
