Places to visit in the local area:

Aldeburgh - A pretty town on the coast with a shingle beach. Freshly landed fish can be bought daily from the fishing huts on the beach. The annual Aldeburgh Arts and Literacy festival is held in June. Also famous for it's connections with Benjamin Britten.
Thorpeness - A very quirky village on the coast with a shingle beach. The village was built in the 1920s and is centred around a large boating lake called the mere.
