Wonderful cabin in Cripple Creek. Beautiful views of the Mountains from the wraparound Balcony. The house has everything you need and more. Very clean. Thanks to the owner who put up Christmas lights and a Christmas tree for us. Lots of snow during our visit. We saw rabbits and a fox during our visit. Driveway difficult to navigate in the snow and ice for Texans. Casinos are a very short drive away(you could walk if the weather was nice). Would love to return in the spring.
We really enjoyed our stay! This house was everything we needed. Plenty of room and privacy for five adults. Clean, fresh, and well stocked with all the basics. Could use some new beds!
Very nice house it was just as descriped. It was clean and Bill was very easy to work with. The wrap around porch is GREAT. Beautiful views from any side of the house. New steps in front are very nice, but there are over 30 steps from driveway to main floor of the house!! Flatlanders beware, elderly beware,my parents both in mid 70's no problems but go up slowly! Only reason I didn't property 5 stars was the Beds, only 1 decent bed in house, the one in upstairs bedroom.
Much better than a hotel room - very clean, lots of room, a helpful and pleasant owner and a nice wrap around deck with GREAT views!! There were no TV channels available - just movie's, but there are so many other things to do in the area that we didn't miss it. If you want to head out to the casinos the shuttle will come to the cabin so you don't have to drive if you don't want (especially nice after a night of free casino drinks). The other reviews for this vacation rental are right on the money. We will definitely be back.
Loved the Cabin in Cripple Creek. The view was amazing. We could see the town perfectly. Cabin is very convenient. It is just a couple of streets above the Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad Station. It was great hearing the train whistle blow during the day. It is not disturbing at all... it was really neat and we would go out to the porch to hear it. We also had deer outside the cabin each evening. You could look out the kitchen window and see them grazing up on the hill. The Cabin was very clean. The owners take very good care of the property and make sure that you have everything that you need. The cabin is not very old so everything is in excellent condition and there are no funny smells or anything weird like that. It is very cozy. There is plenty of room for everyone. We only had a family of 4 but it could have easily accommodated more. It is 3 bedrooms but there is actually a room on the bottom floor that has its own half bath with a sofa and set of bunk-beds. There are several flights of stairs but it is worth the climb to see the views! We were extremely comfortable and truly appreciate the owner (Bill). We called him several times before we came and he always answered the phone and was very helpful. If you are staying in Cripple Creek we highly recommend this Cabin on the hill! We loved it because as we drove around Cripple Creek during the day going to the museums etc. we could look up on the hill and see our "home". Cripple Creek is also a short drive to Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, and Pikes Peak area. Cripple Creek does have many Casinos - we did not gamble much but it was great getting $3.99 Steak and Eggs at Bronco Billys. :) I highly recommend this cabin and this owner! We will definitely come back!
This cabin was clean, well maintained, and roomy. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, wolves, coyotes, and hummingbirds. You can walk to all of the casinos, and I found them to be low key but fun and very affordable (for casinos). There is a lot to do in the area including some great hikes in the Crags, and Horsethief Falls. You need to be in pretty good shape to walk to the casinos, and honestly just getting up the stairs of this cabin though, so I don't recommend this cabin for those not in good health. You will not get an internet connection out here with Verizon or T-Mobile, but you can make calls. GPS is spotty thoughout the area so make sure you research where you want to go and how to get there.
