CHARMING 1772 COTTAGE IN THE HISTORIC DISTRICT OF BEAUFORT, NC

Beaufort House Rental Photos and Description

This is a wonderful little house right in the middle of the beautiful historic district of Beaufort. This is our second home - that we love - not just any rental home. We've put lots of TLC into it. We hope you'll enjoy the charm of the house, the delightful breezes from the front porch (the best porch in Beaufort, we've been told on numerous occasions), the accessibility to the downtown area with all the fabulous restaurants, shops, sightseeing, water activities, museums, and more. This town is a little piece of heaven. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Suitability:
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters
  • pets not allowed

About Nancy Fuqua

We live in Savannah, Ga and come to Beaufort whenever we have the chance. We are glad to welcome you to our home away from home. Enjoy this little piece of heaven on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina

Nancy Fuqua purchased this house in 2003

Why Nancy Fuqua chose Beaufort

We bought this house because our children went to camp as young children and worked as counselors until half-way through college at Camp Seafarer. It was the perfect location to see them on time-off and gave them a place to rest in the air-conditioning, wash clothes and have home-cooked meals during that time. We fell in love with Beaufort and hope to bring many generations of family here.

A tranquil time in Beaufort

  • 5 of 5
This house is a must stay for anyone visiting Beaufort. It's one of the oldest homes in historic Beaufort but has been tastefully remodeled to include all of the modern conveniences. So many tasteful touches have been added to make this rental the perfect stay for those craving elegant historical comfort while also wanting to be within walking distance of the Beaufort waterfront. I also need to mention that this house has one of the most charming and relaxing front porches in all of historic Beaufort. With the combination of elegance and comfort this house is surely not to be missed. Can't wait to go back and rent it again!

Perfect location and house

  • 5 of 5
We went to Beaufort for the food and wine festival and this house was the perfect location for everything. The home itself is beautiful, clean, well kept and had all the amenities we needed but the best part by far was the location. They supplied 2 bikes and we rented bikes for everyone else in our group. The only time we used our cars was when we arrived to go to the grocery store. It was a short walk or shorter bike ride to downtown. We also took a short bike trip to the nearby boathouse and rode to the end of the island. The front porch has seating for a large group and we were able to hang out with coffee in the morning, cocktails the rest of the day and music playing on the speakers that are located throughout the home. Nancy gave some great recommendations for restaurants and even the neighbors we met were extremely friendly.

Lovely home!

  • 5 of 5
The owners were pleasant to work with and the home was incredible! The home is a short walk to the downtown area and the riverfront. The neighborhood is quiet and picturesque. We spent the majority of our time there sitting on the wicker furniture on the front porch. We had a great time. I would highly recommend this location to any future travelers!

Ahhhhhhmazing!!!

  • 5 of 5
We were looking for a great "home base" for our Pirate Invasion weekend and could not have asked for a more comfortable, welcoming and beautiful home to stay in. The layout of the house allowed us all to be together when cooking and eating and the front porch was an incredible place to hang out in the evenings while the kids watched tv. Ms. Nancy was so incredibly nice and even helped us out when none of us could figure out how to turn the tv on! We will definitely be back and are planning on staying here again!
Thank you for such a wonderful weekend!!

Wow! A Fantastic Place to Stay in Beaufort, NC

  • 5 of 5
Our positive experience began several days even before we arrived in Beaufort. Communication with the owner was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. She even gave us some restaurant recommendations that turned out to be excellent (try Aqua!).

When we arrived in Beaufort a few days later, it was dark so we didn't get to appreciate the full charm of the exterior and yard until the next morning, but we did sit out on the porch to sip some wine. The interior of the house was in impeccable condition. The downstairs parlor was beautiful with its ample chairs and sofa, and was beautifully decorated. Wood floors throughout the house. The one bedroom downstairs was very nice, as was the ensuite bathroom. Quality linens on the beds.

The upstairs was nice, too, with its three bedrooms and large bathroom with double sinks and a very large shower. One of the rooms had bunk beds for those with children. The upstairs rooms were nicely decorated too, very tastefully done.

We saw photographs of the family throughout the house, which was nice and made us feel as if we knew the owners and were staying as their house guests. Thank you very much for opening your home! Five stars, no question!
