Our love of old building has lead us to a career of restoring old buildings making them functional without losing their character,

Nancy Yohn purchased this estate in 1990

We are the second owners since William Penn and Lord Baltimore. It was in the Cooper family for over 200 years, the original owner came over to America in 1734 and is buried in the cemetery here on the farm as well as some Civil War Veterans of the family.

The terrain here is lovely and rolling, with beautiful views. Although it was in deplorable condition when we bought it, we fell in love with it on first sight. It has been a labor of love ever since.

The main house we built in 2004. It is comfortable for the two of us but also great for when the family comes to visit for reunions and holidays.

PEACE!

  • 5 of 5
The kids called it Downton Abbey! Plenty of room for all to have space, outdoors and indoors. We had a group of 8 adults/ 8 children. ALL had a fabulous time with perfect weather. Did not want to leave. Rolling hills for running & walking. Large enough pool for the kids to enjoy. Well stocked house with linens and kitchenware. We plan to return again.

Exquisite home on a breathtaking piece of property.

  • 5 of 5
The word "estate" is the perfect description for this property--it's so much more than a vacation home. The attention to detail is extraordinary--every inch of the home is incredibly well-designed and beautifully appointed. It's an interior designer's dream, but in an inviting and comfortable way. Every room has big windows and a beautiful vista of the farm, mountains or river. We couldn't stop noticing (and appreciating) the countless thoughtful details that went into the design and execution. The surrounding property is also full of pleasant surprises, from the private cemeteries dating back to the 1700's, to the river overlook and multiple barns and outbuildings. The owner (Nancy) was incredibly thoughtful and the onsite manager couldn't have been nicer. We've done 18 consecutive years of Thanksgiving getaways and this year was far-and-away the best thanks to this lucky find. We hope to come back soon (and often.)

Family Reunion/Getaway

  • 5 of 5
Our family spent a wonderful, relaxing, Columbus Day long weekend in this gorgeous home and beautiful surroundings. The house was more than we hoped for and accommodated the 16 of us perfectly. There was plenty of room for the 3 little kids to play and a big dining room for games and lots of eating. Also a huge family room for others to relax or read a book. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed kayaking, campfires, fishing, hiking, bike riding. and family football. We visited Amish country and went to Sight and Sound to see NOAH....both were about 50 minutes away. The deer made nightly visits in the fields surrounding the farm. We also had a local photographer come take family pictures. The barn, stables and rest of the farm gave us a perfect backdrop for our photo shoot. We made wonderful family memories and everyone wants to go back next year..... and stay a little longer! Our vacation here was a 10+!

Beautiful Rural Retreat

  • 5 of 5
The owners have created a gorgeous home with beautiful, comfortable furnishings. The master suite is beyond belief in its creature comforts! We enjoyed the nearby peach orchard for fresh fruit and the Amish farm for perfect fresh produce. The local grocery store was very well stocked for the most particular tastes. They were featuring lobster at $5.99 a pound when we were there. Lovely pool--very nice caretaker who came daily--Highly recommend.

House-up to date furnishings, kitchen very well stocked, very clean.
Location-this is great...we only had aprox 1 hr. and 10 min travel time.
Exterior-the lawn and everything is very well maintained.
We have also been there in the summer time....the pool was absolutlely wonderful, along with table and chairs to enjoy lunch out by the pool.In the evening we enjoyed the view from the master bedroom....about 15-20 deer grazing in the lawn. You also have a view of the Susquhanna river from the master bedroom. If you choose to stay at this property-you will NOT be dissappointed!!!We loved it and plan on returning next summer again.

Family Get-Away

  • 5 of 5
Spent a weekend here in Oct 2012 with family, Had a great time, the house and grounds are absolutely beautiful. Very well kept. The house is well furnished, has lots of room for togetherness and also enough places for privacy when you want it. There is a large lawn and great places for walks, etc. I would reccommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.
