Superb detached property comprising: spacious living area of 55sqm divided into lounge, dining area and open kitchen. The living area is flooded with natural daylight through the twin sets of French doors and other windows; 2 bedrooms sleeping 4; shower room; separate toilet. Garage. Large private front garden with small pond for our 'green friends' - so far, we have six frogs for neighbours, hence the choice of 'La Grenouillere' as the house name!

Stunning new detached property nestled in the charming Norman stone village of Ravenoville, in the heart of the Cherbourg Peninsula. 6kms from the historic market town of Sainte Mere Eglise, liberated on the morning of D-Day by US paratroopers and only 2kms from the sea and the northern fringe of Utah Beach with mile after mile of unspoiled golden sands. The Utah Beach D-Day museum and the many memorials and other vestiges of that 'Day of Days' are just a few minutes' drive. 'Bloody Omaha' Beach, the moving US American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer and the other British and Canadian landing beaches are less than an hour away by car, easily accessed by the N13 highway.

With many years' experience in organising D-Day ceremonies and conducting tours of the historic landing beaches, we would be delighted to offer our guests expert guidance with arranging itineraries to suit individual interests. Our most recent event was the ceremony on 6 June 2009 at La Haute Addeville, near St Come-du-Mont to honour the memory of US 101st Airborne Division paratrooper Lt George E Schmidt, killed in action on D-Day. More than 300 guests attended the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to Lt Schmidt's heroism, which resulted in a posthumous award of the Distinguished Service Cross. Lt Schmidt is buried in the US American Normandy Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. We can also offer personally conducted tours of the landing beaches and other sites of historic interest.
