Welcome to a little bit of paradise on the North Shore of Kauai'. Imagine, after a hard day at the beach or a hike on the Kalalau Trail, watching the evening arrive as the sun sets, sitting out on the balcony overlooking the pasture. The setting sun begins to turns everything golden and Mount Makana is there in front of you in all its glory. Watch the horses and cows grazing in the pasture below and everything about the rest of the world fades away. The best part is that the closest beach is about a block away from the cottage.
The house itself is comfortable and full of light with windows surrounding all the rooms from ceiling to floor. The light shines in wonderfully and the views of the surrounding mountains are quite spectacular and peaceful.
Cedar walls give the cottage a warm and cozy feeling. Our guests do enjoy the two large sofas in the living room – as they provide a nice reading or resting place.
The bedroom has a queen-bed, reading lamps, end tables, and closet space. Our guests fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to the birds song in the morning as the bedroom is adjacent to the jungle.
Enjoy a full kitchen to cook a favorite specialty. The open kitchen has been recently remodeled and is equipped with all the necessary culinary items one needs. If one wishes to grill some delicious local fish or some Kaua'i steak, the Weber Gas BBQ is just downstairs in the picnic area. Also, the bath with tub and shower - has been recently remodeled.
In the den you will find the TV, with cable service, DVD player and a library to relax and enjoy.
Our guests are provided with two large beach towels each, beach chairs, coolers all linens and dishes and culinary items.

The North Shore of Kaua'i is renowned for its beauty and 'old time Hawaii' atmosphere. What you can expect here is the country life, sun and surf, hiking trails, mountains and pastures, waterfalls and rainbows. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the mainland, come here where our beaches have been designated the top in the world. But, do not expect to get anywhere very fast on Kaua’i for the speed limit at this end of the island is only 25 mph. As you wind down the road through Hanalei you will soon realize that you are visiting “old Hawaii”.
The beaches alone are what every visitor wants to experience; clear, warm water and spectacular mountains surrounding them. There are so many fine beaches to choose from on the North Shore that guests can expect privacy and seclusion on a dreamy white sandy beach.
As for must-see and must-do activities, all within a ten minute drive or less, our guests can experience snorkeling at Tunnels Beach, .6 mile away; hiking at Limahuli Tropical Botanical Gardens, and the Kalalau Trail; Surfing and Kayaking at Hanalei Bay, Golf at the Prince Course, Horseback riding and Zip Lining in Princeville, Cave exploring in Ha'ena, Napali Boat trip including sea caves from Hanalei, Luau at Tahiti Nui in Hanalei, Farmers Markets in Hanalei on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
