We stayed here for 5 nights in May. The location is excellent; right in the heart of everything but on a quiet street where locals live. Like others have said here, it is only 5 minutes to Campo di Fiori, and you can walk to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Coliseum, St.Peter's Basilica, Trastevere, etc. The apartment has everything you need and for this price represents excellent value. The taxi stand is not far away when you need a lift to Termini Station as well.
On the Sunday we arrived there was a great local market a block away where we bought some of the best cheese and olive spreads in Italy. The small streets are charming with some very neat shops. Deparo (convenience store) is a 2 min walk. When we come back to Rome we will give Leonora a call and hope to rent this place again.
The apartment has everything you need but don't expect luxury. However, for the price I think
The apartment is in the best possible location, close to all the main attractions but still not too touristy or loud. Very easily connected to train station and airport, and the neigborhood is filled with great restaurants and little galleries. The apartment is bright and cosy and the kitchen is very well equipped. We arrived at 9 am and were welcomed by the doorkeeper, and left at 7 pm with no extra charges. We didn't get to meet Leonora but she was most helpful on the telephone and even found the camera we forgot at the apartment and sent it to me at her own cost. It was everything we hoped for and more, and I couldn't recommend it enough. We're coming back for sure!
The apartment is situated in the most perfect location! We walked everywhere very easily. The Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona are just round the corner and were so lovely in the evenings with lots of restaurants and entertainment. The apartment has everything you need, the building is lovely and we were very comfortable for the duration of our stay. The apartment felt very safe and was quiet at night. I really recommend this apartment and Leonora was a great help.
This apartment was perfectly located for us to walk to all the main sites. We walked everywhere and it was so enjoyable! Shops for food were close as was the markets. It was easy to access from the main road and the directions on how to get there were perfect. The area felt safe even late at night and the apartment complex felt secure.
The apartment was clean, airy and everything worked well. Good shower, comfortable bed (easy to fold up) and the kitchen worked well for the two of us. (we prepared a lot of meals at home, though the local pizza take aways were great)
We only used the airconditioning once but it was appreciated. Closing up the shutters during the day while we were out kept the place cool. The elevator worked well for access. Loved the feel of the grand stairs with the statues!
Leonora was welcoming and set us up well.
Definately good value for an ideal location: felt so close to everything without having crowds in front of the door!
Would reccomend this apartment to any of our friends.
My partner and I stayed at this apartment with our 15 yr old son for 6 nights during the last weeks of August 2011.
The location is second to none. If you are considering staying in the centre of Rome and have been put off by the prices this is the place for you. Having stayed in Rome before at a premium hotel on Campo dei Fiori I knew this time I didn't want to compromise on location as the weather was going to be hot. I really didn't fancy the idea of having to walk into the centre or catch public transport everyday. Here, you are literally 2 minutes from Campo dei Fiori or the river, 5 minutes from Piazza Navona and only 10 minutes from St Peters.
We took a taxi from the station and found the apartment easily following the owner's instructions. It's located on a quiet street in a historical building that has a pretty and functional courtyard. It's on the third floor accessible by a lift or the elegant staircase. It has good air con and heating if you need it too. There are 3 rooms and a bathroom; a lounge with a comfortable/easy to use sofa bed, a second bedroom situated on a mezzanine floor that you access from the kitchen using a spiral staircase that has two single beds, and a small dining kitchen.
Although the apartment is compact, it feels bright and airy. It was clean and had everything we needed - pasta, cooking oil and other bits and pieces. The owner wasn't around when we stayed but we were taken care of by the concierge and stayed in touch with the owner by text.
There's a Despar (7/11 type of shop) round the corner which was open all of the time. There is an excellent restaurant across the street although we gave that one a miss and used two smaller but just as good restaurants within 60 seconds walk. One to the left and one to the right (Restaurante Monserrato) as you exit the building. Don't miss Forno on Campo dei Fiori for lunch, their pizza bianco with italian ham is to die for!
The negatives? The plumbing wasn't quite as good as it could be but it didn't cause us any problems, it's what you get is an old building! And there was some noise one night as one of the residents had a small dog that didn't seem to want to be quiet. But this was only one night and where ever you stay, whether in a hotel, apartment or B&B you will always get some noise from other residents.
All in all I felt that we got fantastic value for money and really enjoyed our stay. We will definitey book again the next time we visit Rome.
The property is near the most important attractions of the city, such as Vatican, Castel St Angelo, Piazza Navona and Pantheon.
