Eagle Rock is a beautiful four-season resort that will allow you to relax by getting back to nature. The picturesque woods, an occasional glimpse of deer or wild turkeys, the star filled sky at night and the relaxing breeze off the lake at the beach take you away from your cares. Eagle Rock is close to a number of outdoor activities, casinos, and ski resorts. The resort is located in the Blue Mountains on 5,000 wooded acres near Hazleton, Pennsylvania and is 2 hours from Philadelphia and New York City.
Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom chalet is a comfortable, attractive getaway which sleeps 8-10 comfortably. Sitting on the deck or dining in the screened in porch allow you to enjoy the natural setting around you. The living room and the basement both have cable and DVD players and there is an Xbox for gaming or listening to music through the TV.
We are from the King of Prussia area and love the mountains. We enjoy sailing, swimming and fishing at the lake, barbeques at the beach, and seeing star filled skies at night. We ride horses at the Equestrian Center and our son snowboards either here or in the Poconos during the winter.
Rob Bradway purchased this chalet in 2008
The chalet sits between the two lakes and is nestled above a creek which offers a soothing background sound. Our house is a getaway from hectic suburban life and within a day we feel relaxed.
Our chalet is on a quite road and the road runs along the lower lake so an evening walk takes you by the lake. Deer abound as well as wild turkeys.
Beautiful House with nice amenities. We had a great time
We had a great 2 night stay at this property. Even though it rained the majority of the time we were there, the house and property kept 7 adults completely content and entertained. It was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The activity center was only a few minutes drive away and had a huge gymnasium to play basketball and other indoor activities. The resort itself was beautiful, fortunately, we were able to spend a few hours on the lake and beach when the rain finally ended. The water at the lake was amazing, crystal clear and warm enough to swim in even though it was barely 70 degrees outside. Lastly, the home owner Rob was really great, as many others have stated. He took the extra time and that really made a difference to me. We will be back for sure!
We selected this location for distance from our home. The home was perfect for the 6 of us (4 older teen children). Location has a lot of nice things to do (beach, woods, creek). The house is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Working with the home owner was easy and a pleasure. We so enjoyed our long weekend here, that we are returning next month with 2 more people.
Great experience ... highly recommend staying
All the kids and the adults had a great time. From playing board games, to taking wonderful walks along the creek, to just watching scary movies in the basement. We also took advantage of the rec center at eagle rock which was perfect. Great indoor basketball court, fooseball, air hockey, and pool. The home was well stocked with necessities and not to mention clean. Nice big grill too. Every morning we woke up to a view of deer, which was lovely. We would highly recommend staying here, and have intentions to return.
Hi, first I want to say that I don't normally write reviews but had to tell others what a wonderful house this was to stay in. First and foremost, the owners were so nice and just such a pleasure to deal with- and genuinely concerned with us having a nice stay at their house. The house was extremely clean (as a bit of an OCD person myself and having an asthmetic son, this really does say a lot) and just so warm and inviting. The house came with so many amenities as well- board games/video games/ping pong table, which we and our children enjoyed. It's a great house and we'd have no second thoughts in renting this house again.
Rob- thank you and your family so much for sharing your house with us! We truly had a wonderful stay and appreciate everything!!!
