This Victorian apartment in the heart of London's historic Kew Village is 2 Minutes from Kew Gardens Underground and Overland trains (metro/subway) and buses to Central, North and West London. The apartment also has super-fast (fibre optic), unlimited internet at no extra cost. Enjoy a village atmosphere with local shops, restaurants and pubs with excellent transport links to all the main tourist attractions. Family size (200 sq m) with original features and high ceilings, the apartment forms part of a Victorian Parade in Kew Village, minutes away from Kew's Royal Botanical Gardens and the National Archives (public records office). The accommodation comprises 3 large double bedrooms, two ensuite, with a playroom on the top floor serving as a 4th double bedroom when required. Two further bathrooms and large double aspect lounge and dining room make this an ideal property for families, groups or corporate lets. A front balcony and large sash windows offer elevated views of the village while the large, well-equipped kitchen has French doors onto a sunny south facing balcony.

Kew Retail Park: Kew Retail Park is a 10 minute walk from the property. Numerous retail outlets include Mothercare, Marks and Spencer, GAP, Next, TK Max, and Boots.

Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, 200 metre walk: A World Heritage Site, the Gardens cover over 300 acres (120ha) of land and splendid glasshouses contain over 40,000 species of plant life and 9,000 trees. Kew is not only a beautiful place to visit but functions as a botanical research centre and maintains the largest plant collection in the world. We love these gardens and go almost daily as they are such a short walk away. We recommend that if you plan to visit more than three times during your stay you buy an annual pass, costing less than the price of three visits. In December and January an ice skating rink is open in front of the Temperate House and in July a series of summer swing outdoor concerts are held in the evenings followed by spectacular fireworks displays.

Kew Gardens Station: This is the attractive main station for visitors to Kew Gardens, as well as serving the well-to-do suburbs of Kew itself, and the National Archive 10 minutes walk away. It is served by both the Richmond branch of the District Line and the North London Line, now called the London Overground.

Kew is located in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The River Thames runs through the heart of the borough for 21 miles linking Hampton Court Palace, Richmond town centre and Kew Gardens with central London. The river is a great way to see many of the attractions in the area including Marble Hill House, Ham House and Hampton Court Palace, or head east to Westminster, the Tower of London and Greenwich.

Whether you like history & heritage, dining, shopping and theatre, walking, playing about on the river, or watching world class sport, Richmond upon Thames has something for everyone.

For me Kew is a very special part of London. It combines that very English village feeling with a European town square atmosphere. Great to have access to Kew Gardens and station, the Thames river, plenty of English pubs and restuarants, coffee shops, wine shops and mini supermarket, all just steps away.

House above Tesco - Kew

The location was Excellent! Very convenient and easy to find from public transportation. However, the house was very tired and worn. Drafty floors, couches old, lumpy and uncomfortable and 2 of 4 bathrooms were tiny and difficult to utilize.

Perfect Family House

We stayed 12 days at this perfect family house. We were 4 adults and 4 kids. 3 of the kids slept with their parent and one had his own room. The loft room was perfect for the 13 year old boy. The large bedroom is like a small suite room with a large bed and a smaller but comfortable cot in the room. The house is really exactly as advertised. The kitchen is small but just right for our limited needs. Wonderful coffee options abound literally 50 steps from the door. Being right over a Tesco was awesome. The little neighborhood is like a doll house and it felt like we were living in a Thomas the Train show living so close to the quaint little station. For those who don't know London: Kew Gardens is about a half hour train ride into London. The train is very comfortable and we enjoyed all our rides into the town. We bought our Oyster Cards (travel cards for train and buses) before we left the US so it was SO easy to use the transportation. Trains run often. But be careful not to have too much fun in town, trains DO stop running after midnight. Being close to Kew Gardens was amazing and we loved every minute we spent there. Well worth the price of admission and its literally around the corner from the house. EVERYTHING is right there. An organic market with everything you need. A wine shop. An Italian deli with great espresso. A bookshop. A butcher shop with the most delicious rotisserie chickens (buy them early as they do run out by closing time). I had my hair done at the beauty shop and the men had haircuts and shaves at the barber. All very good. The wood floors of the house have inspired me to tear up all my old tile and install exactly the same floors. The house is as described. Nothing fancy but good bones. The kitchen is well equipped and we found what we needed to make meals for 8. The beds are okay but if you like a soft pillow you might bring your own. There is no dryer in the house but we made great friends with the local laundry lady who helped us do our own laundry and even did some for us. The "Tap on The Line" pub at the station is great for a pint and train watching. A nice hamburger too. The best food we found was at the Kew Gardens Hotel, around the corner. And a nice place for a pint as well. Very good fish and chips at the hotel. I had good communication with Libby. Never saw her, which is always great in a rental. The little terrace overlooking the quaint town was perfect. So lucky to hit once a month market day. Loved it. Will return!

A fantastic large family house!

The property was excellent for our group of three families. It was very clean and the location fantastic. The proximity of Kew village shops, the tube and buses made it so easy for access to London. Excellent!

We loved every bit of our one- week stay in Kew village. There were 10 of us (4 couples +2 kids all from the same family) and the flat never felt crowded. It was a real pleasure to get back home to this lovely village atmosphere after a day in central London. The flat is full of charm too and with the tube and bus virtually on the doorstep, who could ask for more? I would definitely recommend it, all the more so as booking with Libby was really easy and straightforward. Thank you so much for this super holiday.

Very nice, comfortable and clean.

We were a group of 8 people with 2 children aged 1yr and 3 yr. I'd suggest this house to everybody: for the very nice building, rooms and fornitures; for its position, distance from the underground station, stores and supermarkets. If back again to London, this house will be my first option and I'll recommend to my friends as well.

Perfect Spot for Family Get-together

We wanted an apartment for 3 families, 2 with young children. It was great: lots of room, toys for the children, well-equipped kitchen, friendly owner and supporting cast. The location is very pleasant. Ideal for small shops, nice just to walk around, plenty going on to watch from the large windows that overlook the "village".

We enjoyed our visit to Kew Gardens and had an excellent Nepalese meal at Rara in Sandycombe Road.

The view from the back of the house is not great and there are lots of stairs. Those on entry are long and steep. We didn't care.

Twickenham Stadium 3 miles, Wimbledon tennis an easy train journey. Kew Village shops and services include supermarkets, off-licence/liquor stores, post office, pharmacies, laundrette, dry cleaners, bank and cash machines, Starbucks and other cafes, pubs and award winning restaurants. The property is a 5 minute walk to Kew Royal Botanical Gardens. A 10 min stroll takes you to Kew Green and its English pubs and fine restaurants, the National Archives and to the Kew Retail Park.

Parade View is a short walk to Restaurants, English Pubs, Coffee shops including Starbucks, Pizza Express, supermarket, Metro/ Underground, Kew Gardens and the Thames River. Kew is one Metro stop each way from the wonderful high streets of Richmond and Chiswick, with their great shops. There are also some delightful restaurants down Sandycombe Road, a 200 metre walk from the village. Be sure to visit Kew Gardens during your stay. For families with young children, Climbers and Creepers' is the ideal spot. For older children and located outside Climbers and Creepers you'll find Treehouse Towers. Kids can climb up ladders, clamber across rope bridges and slide their way down from the three towers. Each tower varies in height, and as children scale between them they’ll find each one more of a challenge.
