Photos and Description of the Sterling Shores vacation condo rental

When we purchased this unit in July of 2012 we knew we had to make some improvements to this condo. We completed many of the improvements just in time for the spring season. We have new paint from top to bottom, a new queen size bed and a brand new Samsung 46' smart TV where you can can check in on Facebook, watch movies through your Netflix account, or surf the web for the best places to eat in Destin.

After staying at Sterling Shores for many wonderful years, we decided to purchase a unit in this family friendly condominium complex. Having young children ourselves we appreciate the family amenities in and around the area.

Our unit is located on the fifth floor and has a Gulf view. The balcony overlooks the pool area as well as the beautiful landscaped grounds. The non-smoking unit has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms with a garden tub in the master suite.

The complex includes two pools, a pool side grill, dedicated beach area with chair and umbrella service, a onsite theater, and unlimited movie rentals in the lobby.

Why Huntley chose Sterling Shores

After many vacations to the Destin area and staying at various condo properties, we chose to purchase a unit at our favorite condo complex. Sterling Shores is more than just a room close to a beach. There are amenities that you can't find anywhere else in Destin, trust me we have looked. This property is within walking distance of local restaurants and attractions.

What makes this condo unique

Sterling Shores is located on the east end of scenic highway 98 away from the congestion of the Strip. Easy access to highway 98 lets you drive to all of the popular Destin hangouts. The condo is close to a Wal-Mart and many other stores. It is also within walking distance of several restaurants. There is an on site theater, unlimited DVD rentals, and the lagoon pool is perfect for families with small children. There is also a beach side pool with a cabana where you can purchase food and adult beverages.

Restaurants within walking distance are The Back Porch, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and The Candymaker. The Track is also within walking distance and has mini golf, go karts, bumper rides, and other thrill rides.

The Back Porch is one of Destin's most popular restaurants. There is usually a wait but guests can get beverages at a bar on the front deck.

The Candymaker is exactly what the name implies. They make all types of candy in house; taffy, chocolate dipped anything, specialty chocolate items, frozen yogurt sold by the ounce, a wall of Jelly Bellies, and different types of caramel dipped apples. In addition, it houses a small gift shop and a coffee shop. The coffee shop is open from 7-11am and has a variety of coffee offerings as well as a small breakfast menu. Items can be picked up and enjoyed in the condo unit.
