Located in the beautiful tropical rainforest of Leilani Estates, this newer home has 2 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. The master bedroom is the Plumaria Room and includes a queen size bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom is the Hibiscus Room with a queen size bed and bathroom. Each bedroom has a private covered lanai to enjoy your private times. This home has a large living room, totally equipped kitchen and over 600 square feet of outdoor living area This area includes a barbeque, dining table, sitting area and outdoor shower. The home sits on a 2 acre piece of Hawaiian Aloha and includes over 125 palm trees including coconuts, McArthur Palms, Phoenix Palms Fishtail Palms and Areca Palms. Enjoy our piece of paradise, landscaped with red gingers, dracaena’s, jasmine, ti’s, and numerous other tropical plants along with two tropical fish ponds. Also available for your enjoyment are grapefruits, orange, tangerine, bananas and pineapples in season.

Rick and Gayle built this comfortable home on the adjacent property in 2005 and take great pride in maintaining the combined two acres of lush tropical gardens. The homes are situated is such a way to afford total privacy. As neighbors we would be delighted to offer you advice on all of the local attractions and activities that you my find interesting. This vacation home is in a very quiet residential neighborhood 24 miles southeast of Hilo and 5 miles from ocean access. Wonderful and safe snorkeling at Kopono tide pools (a marine sanctuary) is an 8 mile drive. Other close attractions include world famous Kilauea Volcano, Rainbow Falls, Boiling Pots, and Lava Trees State Park. The historic town of Pahoa (a sixty’s throwback) is 5 miles away and includes several restaurants with Mexican, 2 Thai, 2 Italian, Chinese, fast foods and local cuisines. There are also full service markets and gas stations.

Wonderful, relaxing holiday!

We had a great month long holiday on the Big Island! We fell in love with the Puna District, Pahoa and Lelani Estates. Its a great area, lots to do close by. We can't wait to go back! Rick and Gayle were wonderful hosts. They showed us around their beautiful garden and even have a map identifying all the tropical plants they have planted. The house and location was perfect for us!
