Enjoy the most beautiful view of Lake Coeur d'Alene in all the region! (Visit our live web cam to verify it for yourself.) The home sits atop a bluff overlooking Coeur d'Alene Lake and has unbelievable views both up and down the lake. Enjoy majestic, glowing sunrises, and the rising moon as it twinkles its reflection across the lake.
The home features a wide variety of comfortable amenities to make your lake stay enjoyable. Spacious and spotless, with four bedrooms and three baths (2200 square feet), a family room downstairs, with a PC connected to the flat screen for streaming Netflix movies, or you may check your Facebook on the flat screen, if you prefer. There is also a DVD player with a variety of family-friendly movies in stock. Wireless internet is set up throughout the house, so bring your iPad or laptop. The family room is also stocked with a wide assortment of board games and fun activities for the evening.
Outside the house you will find a number of amenities, such as a fully fenced yard where your little ones (two legged or four legged) can play safely while you are enjoying your time at the lake. The landscaped, spacious yard has a play fort with a slide for the kids. Enjoy snacking on fruits and vegetables in season from the garden and the wide variety of trees and shrubs. They include blueberries, raspberries, cherries (3 different trees) apples (4 varieties), pears, plums and grapes. Our family has lived in this area over 20 years, and this is our vacation home. We aren’t some firm with a fleet of vacation homes we rent. Our goal is that we can share our piece of paradise with a hand full of other families, and let them add to the great memories already created in this home.

This location features a wide variety of recreational opportunities. The home is at the mid point of Lake Coeur d'Alene. By boat, this is 20 minutes from the town of Coeur d'Alene and about 20 minutes from Heyburn State Park on the south end of the lake. There are a number of lakeshore dinning establishments that make for terrific excursion opportunities(eg. Shooters, Conkling Park, Gateway, and Carlin Bay ). By road, this home is 35 minutes from the town of Coeur d'Alene and 45 minutes from Spokane Valley. The Spokane airport is a one hour drive from door to terminal.
Riding bikes on the Trail of The Coeur d'Alenes, which begins in Plummer, Idaho, is a beautiful family adventure. It is a paved railroad grade that provides an amazing opportunity to see the south end of the lake, and if you choose, allows you to bike nearly to the Idaho - Montana border. We highly recommend a family bike ride from Heyburn State Park to the village of Harrison for ice cream at the Creamery on one of your days here. The total bike ride for this trip is 15 miles on a nearly flat, paved trail with outstanding vistas and potential wildlife/bird viewing all the way. Just let us know before you arrive if you need a few bikes.
Circling Raven Golf Club and the Coeur d'Alene Casino are just 15 minutes away from the home and feature a world class golf course, casino, buffet and steak house. The course has been rated in the top 100 by Golf Magazine Golf World.
If you are visiting during the winter months the surrounding area has five different ski resorts within an hour to an hour and a half from the home. You can ski or board the powder at Schweitzer Mountain, Silver Mountain, 49 Degrees North, Lookout Pass, and Mount Spokane. These areas also have summertime activities, such as concerts and biking.
This home is located in the Cave Bay Community that has its own private park and marina 0.7 miles down the street from the home. The park features a children's play area with plenty of sand to dig in and a shallow, roped-off swimming area in the lake. There is also a campfire pit, chairs, and tables for use in the park...great opportunity for hot dog roasts and s'more cooking, storytelling around the campfire and building lasting memories for your family. In addition, there is a volleyball net (with ball), and horseshoe pit for the big kids. The home has its own boat slip in the marina, and boat rentals are available at a number of locations around the lake. Lastly, the marina features a swimming dock with plenty of room to lay out a towel and enjoy the sun, or cast a lure into the lake and try to catch a fish (for more on fishing Coeur d'Alene Lake see our web site fishcda dot com). We have a selection of fishing poles in the home strung up with our favorite lures, ready for you to use!
The house is roomy, comfortable and has a spectacular view of the lake. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying not only the lake view but also the lovely yard and garden. We picked flowers of every color and made a delicious pie from the rhubarb. Walking to the marina was a daily outing and we had a pontoon boat delivered to us at the marina for a half day adventure on the lake. Renting bikes in Harrison and riding part of the Coeur d'Alene trail was spectacularly beautiful and not hard cycling. The path is very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and the big dining table seated all of us as did table on the deck where we enjoyed evening meals.
We picked a great place for our sister/niece reunion!
We arrived at the house an the views of Lake Coeur D'Alene were spectacular. The home was clean and the property was extremely large. It is a fantastic place to stay for a small group or a family. We golfed at Circling Raven and the house was only 20 minutes from the course. It is tough to beat the views, feel of being in a secluded area, and yet still have all the necessary amenities within 20 minutes.
This is a great place to stay. The view is just fantastic. You can sit for hours overlooking the lake. There is shade in the back yard all hours of the day. A large fenced yard give the kids room to play and we loved eating herbs and a few veggies from the garden. The house has plenty of room and good kitchen and cooking utensils. In addition this house is centrally located.
In all, we will definitely stay here on our next trip to the lake.
My family of four (two adults, a teen and college student) stayed a week at this wonderful home. The view is fabulous, the garden lovely with tasty fruits to eat and the amenities perfect. Even though it got up into the 90s the breeze off the lake and a couple fans were all we needed to stay cool while in the house. It was so great to have all that fresh air. The hosts are pleasant and caring. WE would recommend this house highly.
For activities we brought bikes and road the many trails, rented wave runners for a day that were dropped right at the dock, spent a day at Silverwood, a day in town and the rest of the time just hanging out and enjoying the view and garden. We hope to stay again someday.
We booked last minute so were happy to find this gem available for a week on the bluff in Cave Bay.
It was nice so nice and quiet and peaceful, and only 35 minutes from the town Coer D'alene. Totally enjoyed our stay, the house was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners were always available when we had questions. We took advantage of their available boat slip and had a wonderful time tubing and swimming of the rental boat (highly recommend Harrison's boat rental across the bay). The grocery store in Plummer has everything you will need, also the 72 mile paved bike trail starts there (converted train track) which we used a couple of days.
All in all this place was great, well maintained --- from the lovely flowers, the vegetable garden, the fruit trees and a panarama view of the lake that we still miss.
Thanks so much --- we would recommend this property to friends and relatives.
