Its the perfect retreat for couples and travelers who aren't dependent on traditional resorts.

I, like some of the others, do hesitate to write a good review out of my own selfish desires. The place was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. I would not call it a high-end bungalow by any means but when you are at the beach, you really don't need anything more. The location was excellent and within walking distance to just about everything. We did stop at the grocery store on our way in as we knew this would be necessary but everything else is easily accessible. The suns sets directly across the water from you so the evenings are magical. Great little bar (C'est la Vie) is within walking distance with nightly music. Plenty of places to eat and shop. If you are looking for a secluded little place then this is it. I would like to compliment the caretaker of the property as well, he was very courteous and helpful. We will be back soon. We miss it already!
I really do not want to review this property, but in fairness I have to. Truly a secret getaway. The pictures are very real and do not do justice to the experience, the landlord responsive and cool, the care taker (Albert) the same.
If you are looking for a stuffy resort, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for beautiful ocean views, a beach at your footsteps, all the conveniences of an apartment (minus AC, which you don't really need depending on time of the year) this place is it. Its literally down the street from everything Grand Case has to offer. The bungalow is spacious for a couple. We even took our almost 2 year old with us. We set up her pack and play in the kitchen area for when she went to sleep at night, and felt like we had plenty of privacy.
Like I said, I do not want to review this place honestly because we want to come back every year. The back yard is so peaceful, you really feel like you are in your own private paradise. The two Palm trees, with the ocean behind are so perfect, they do not seem real. The step down to the beach is not ideal for elderly, but you can always walk a couple hundred feet over, and access it through the public access (nobody was on that little beach during our stay: very private). Not the ritz with chairs...etc. Just a beautiful quite beach to match the quaint bungalow with sunset views
Grand Case as a whole was our favorite part on the Island. We saw the whole Island over 9 nights there. There are lots of beaches close by, although Grand Case is very nice, if you want to get away to a private beach, drive down the street, hike for about 3-5 minutes and you can get to Happy Beach. Mullet & Simpson Bay Clear and Nice too. Go to Karakters at Simpson Bay - Beach Bar. In Marigot eat at Marina Royale.
Food at Grand Case is excellent. Like fresh fish? try the Carpaccio and Grouper at Grand Case Beach Club. Zen it was great for Tapas and live music on the beach. Good Creole food/location go to the end of the strip till the main road (on the beach dining). Then walk across the main road to the bakery (next to grocery store). You will love their Chocolate Mouse (we went there 3 times and brought baked goods home, which we enjoyed for breakfast every morning w/ Cheese & coffee on the porch). Try Sarafinas in Marigot, best bakery on the Island. As per LoLos, go to the one behind Sky's the limit right next to the water. Almand is the owner.
This place was awesome. Be Back Soon
This little Bungalow was perfect for us! We stayed 7 nights and loved every minute of it. We did not want to leave. The view from the deck and backyard is stunning!!! The ocean view is just breathtaking. The bungalow has everything you need! I will say its not a real fancy place but I think that's what makes it special!! Its got the island feel. It was clean, we had towels and clean linens and dishes. This bungalow is also very close to town, and you can walk to the lolos to eat. We ate at home since we had a charcoal grill. We loved cooking out and sitting on the deck in the evenings. I will also say that Steve is a very nice person to rent from. Albert and Aline treated us like old friends while we were on the island, and we enjoyed seeing them while there. We plan to go back and we hope to stay 10 nights the next time.
We spent 12 nights in this beautiful place, and loved every minute there!
Located at the edge of town, it takes just a couple of minutes to get to the Grand Case Boulevard, where all the great restaurants/bars and Lolos are. Across the street snorkel or diving trips can be booked at Octopus Diving! Down the beach you will find the Grand Case Beach Club that offers day trips to St. Barts, Anguilla or Tintamarre!!! Grand Case surely is the best place to spend your holiday on St. Martin.
All in all, the location cant be beaten!!!!
The bungalow itself has everything you´ll need. Flatscreen, AC, microwave, Wifi
The (sand)veranda is so inviting and lets you enjoy the beatiful sunsets or have coffee in the morning under the palmtrees. However, the beach can only be reached by climbing down two steps - and at the time we were there there was no beach right in front - but swimmimg is excellent!
We highly recommend sraying in ths beautiful bungalow in Grand Case!
I really hesitate to review this place for selfish reasons because it was so great, I don't want the word to get out! This bungalow is right on the beach in Grand Case which is the only place to be in St Martin. It is in walking distance to great shops, and restaurants, bars and music, but just off the beaten path enough to maintain it's peace & quiet. if you really want to understand this island and live like the locals do surrounded by locals, this is the place. it's breathtaking and so relaxing. The yard is sand! What more could you ask for? It's not that big but with the ocean at your feet what more do you need? You are not spending much time indoors anyway. Kitchen is large & well equipped. There is a nice deck for having meals. This bungalow has everything you need.
Twelve years ago my wife and I spent our honey moon in this lovely one bedroom sea side cottage, it was great to get back here after so long; it was like coming home. The amenities are a bit spartan: kitchen (recently refinished) has full size fridge, a range, microwave and toaster oven (no oven), but with all of the great restaurants within walking distance in Grand Case you don't need much more. Bedroom still has 2 twin beds which we pushed together, though for a couple trying cuddle across the beds it can be a bit of a challenge. Bathroom contains a shower, commode, and vanity. The best feature of the house is the covered front porch where you can sit in lounge chairs and relax while watching the sail boats out on Grand Case Bay.
The house sits on the water at then end of a little pedestrian alley in the residential section of Grand Case. You can get a real neighborhood feel, the property behind this one is occupied year round by local residents, and the one accross they alley is the long time winter abode of a nice snow bird couple from NY. The friendly neighbors where a boon when we did lose water for a day due to maintenance by the city, but the loan of a bucket and an outside shower got use through until service was restored.
Though the house sits on the water, the beach immediately in front of it is seasonal so it may be there or not, but there is ample room in the white sand front yard to put down a towle between the Palm trees and soak up some rays after a refreshing morning swim.
All of the features of Grand Case are within walking distance. I would recommend though renting a car to see the rest of the island while in St. Martin. Parking is catch as catch can on the main street but we never ended up parking vary far from the house during our 12 days there.
Over all a great retreat for a couple or small family, and at about a fifth of the cost of the local hotels a night, losing water for the day and having to sleep across twin beds were not big issues.
Grand Case is known throughout the Caribbean for its family-run restaurants offering an array of rich French and Caribbean cuisine.
A wide range of water-related activities can be found right on Grand Case Beach, including boat rentals and tours, scuba diving and snorkeling.
Horseback riding and butterfly farm are a short drive away.
