This lovely cottage is located in Atascadero's historic neighborhood. You can take a walk and look at some of Atascadero's finest first houses. You will be walking distance to restaurants, shops, movie theatre, parks, and recreation center.
The cottage itself is newly decorated with a full kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and is comfortable and quiet with a view of your shady, private yard. The second bedroom has a low ceiling and a twin size bed perfect for a child, but would also work for an adult. There is also a cozy reading area. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. There is a full kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge, toaster, blender, coffee and tea makers. We provide bottled water and some coffee, tea, salt , pepper, sugar, and cream. The living room has a 40 inch lcd tv with cable and dvd player. We have a dvd library to choose from. The parking area consists of two 40' long spaces (room for trailers and motorhomes). The patio area has a barbeque, eating area, and two lounge chairs. There is also a private, shady, fenced yard. Relax in a deck chair and see if you can spy a squirrel or one of the hummingbirds that frequent the yard.
We enjoyed our two night stay at Hummingbird Place very much! I had brought my two daughters to Atascadero for a wine and spa weekend before my older daughter's wedding. The location was excellent. Quiet, yet conveniently close to everything. The cottage was extremely comfortable. Each girl had their own bed and I slept on the pull out bed. We had chosen this area because we had booked a whole day wine and spa adventure through Vino+Therapy.
We loved seeing every detail Eleanor has put into the home. Nothing was left to chance.
We would love to visit again!
We had a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay a hummingbird cottage. Our host, Eleanor, was gracious and a lovely person to know. She provided us with everything we could possibly need or want. We were a few minutes walk from the heart of town and the cottage is in a wonderful neighborhood. TV Chanel selection was excellent with many cable channels. Loved the single cup coffee maker and washer & dryer was definitely a plus. We will stay again if the opportunity presents itself. We feel like we made new friends of Eleanor and Dennis.
What a quaint little Cottage. We stayed at Hummingbird Place for a weekend in October. It is clean, spacious enough for our family of four and had everything that we would need. Extremely quiet neighborhood.Eleanor was very responsive, helpful and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for anything more! We would definitely stay here again.
Our family needed a place to stay while we were in the North County area for a family wedding. We needed someplace that looked well equipped and child-friendly, and this property was the perfect answer to both needs! The location itself is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, near shops, and easy access to highway 101. Eleanor was very nice to work with; when I inquired about a high chair, she went out of her way to find one that met both our needs, and it was waiting in the cottage upon our arrival! As for child-friendly: there were safety plugs in most of the outlets, the breakable items were out of a toddler's reach, there were toys, books, an amazing crib(!), and room for kids to play inside and out. We were able to entertain friends and family - and even used the BBQ on the beautiful patio! I would recommend this cottage to friends, family, and people traveling with or without children; we would definitely stay again! Thank you, Eleanor, for enabling us to make such wonderful, lasting memories!!
My husband and I came with our 2 nieces to a bday party in Paso Robles. This place turned out perfect! It's located in a very nice quiet neighborhood yet just a few blocks from the downtown area. The place itself is decorated so very cute - ocean theme - and has everything you need including internet and movie channels. My husband and I stayed in a room with a queen bed... and there were 2 twin beds in another bedroom. So nice to have a kitchen and living room as opposed to staying in a hotel room. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for the few days we were there... everyone just needs to be respectful of their time in the bathroom.
We took a few walks in the morning around the neighborhood and again, so VERY quiet and beautiful. Lots of big, old homes that have been renovated.
We would definitely stay there again and hihly recommend it to anyone who is visiting that area. Also, check out Fatte's pizza... really REALLY loved their pizza... and my group is very picky about their pizzas.
This house is a great value. It is clean, well stocked and has all the things you would need to have a comfortable stay. The close proximity to Morro Bay, San Lois Obispo, Pismo Beach, Paso Robles and even Solvang, a hours drive south, make it so that you have many different things to do a quick car ride away. If you love the central coast Atascadero is a nice place to have as a base camp and this house is cheaper than getting a hotel in SLO. We had young children and having a rental is so much better than a hotel. The town itself though small has some really great places to eat if you don't want to take advantage of the kitchen area of the house. I would stay here again if the need arises.
Centrally located within minutes of beaches, wilderness areas, and wine country. Atascadero zoo/lake/park/pavilion is the largest park in Atascadero and is host to many events such as wine festivals, car shows, concerts, weddings and parties. Morro Bay is just a 20 minute drive with surfing, kayaking, whale watching and great seafood restaurants. The north county (Atascadero, Templeton and Paso Robles) is home to many award winning wineries. Areas surrounding Atascadero are rich with hiking and mountain biking trails. Lakes for fishing and boating are within an hours drive.
